Only code I can see on top is VAO, and according to the Varta website that doesn't exist. No indication as to what the type is either.. black dynamic, blue dynamic etc. Its a 72Ah...

Have been looking at putting winter tyres on my Sportback Sport, running standard 17" Sport wheels.
Was thinking would I be better off trying to get some 16" SE wheels or steels even for the winter tyres?
Could I go as small as 15" and clear the brakes?

If so could be a nice bargaining angle. Just show them the sticker in the boot tyre well that says 110KW and say that's a 140 not a 170... now drop the price again...
Bushes on both front lower wishbones need doing, and I've heard it's generally a better idea to just replace the whole arm as the bushes are a PITA to remove and replace.
2 questions:
Why are there 2 types of wishbone available? The pressed type and the cast type... I assume the cast type...
The oil pressure light will come on after approx 7 or 8 seconds trying to turn the engine over. It only pops up because with the car not started the oil pump hasn't come on online so it reads the oil pressure as being insufficient. It's a knock on of the car not starting.
How does it sound...

I just assumed that pipe was a straight feed from the exhaust manifold without any valves etc.
Didn't know the recirculated gases were cooled either!

When you say egr flap/actuator do you mean the rod in the EGR or the flap in the IMF?
Apologies for the ignorance and thank you for the help so far!
I checked the flap in the IMF when I had the EGR out, but I only pushed it down a couple of times. The flap was open, and returned to the open position each time. No real resistance on it. I suppose if there are only a couple of teeth broken on the cog it would only fail 1 or 2 times per...
