I was glad to discover that the £400 only applies to vehicles registered after 23 March 2006 , my road tax cost me £210 last week , the difference is only about 3 tanks of gas when you think about it too.

Same deal learning to drive my mine! I think you just have to be silky smooth with your foot coordination feed the clutch in and out, you have a light clutch action and a sensitive throttle, I thought my Z3 was a bit of a challenge to drive smoothly until I got this machine! Footware...

Sorry I haven't any pics but I managed mine in about an half an hour this week. It is an easy process you need to get hold of a small jubilee clip (re-useable hose clamp) to refasten the knob on the gearstick.
Remove ashtray with a gentle upward pull.
Using gentle pressure from the...
Thanks Rob ,I am using the Concert II head unit for controls as I did not want to mess with the Ipod (old eyes) whilst on the road and I like keeping it out of sight in the glove box.

Interesting that the standard accepted cause for MAF failures point the finger at K&N filters
K&N have spent a lot of money and effort testing "failed" MAF sensors and have yet to find any link with their products "funny old thing that" is the obvious response but their case is well researched...

I have had my 2004 model for 2 weeks now and enjoy the same points as you do. Also getting 30mpg out of it on combined town/Mway. My standard gearshifts are 1, 3, 6 unless I want to move off like a hotrod. Very impressed with the smooth tq of the engine and the general eagerness...
Thanks for that Boydie , shame they can't be divided as the knob is like new just the lousy gaiter material has peeled on all the sharp creases. I think I'll go to an upholsterer and get a real leather one made.
