how bout water / meth injection? I have snow performance and it works wonders. extra 20+hp there. An audi is an audi and there is no jap car that can beat the feel and quality. Even if.u lose out on the drag u still win...sh**I am in a classy, quality car and.u are in a fast but flimsy "max...
Your car is really a beaut! Love those wheels as they are one of my favorites as well. What offset are they? Are they Replicas or original. From what I know they only have them in ET35 for the original ones.
My next mod is to get these A5 wheels so i'd be grateful for any info.
cheers!
Its been a while since i have updated this thread but the modding is still going on. Some further changes to the car.
APR fuel pump - The KMD pump died and its time for the best pump there is. The APR pump is simply amazing as the low end torque actually improved! The result is a much smoother...
Its not been on the rolling road but my friend's GTI has the exact same set up except for a 1/4inch narrower exhaust. He made 330hp on the rolling road so I would expect that my A3 would have about 310hp - 320hp.
Hi guys,
Its been a long time since I updated this thread as I am working in another city without moving my car over and she has been neglected for a long time...
Latest Update: Since my K04 install on My A3 2.0T I have always been with Revo for my map. I have installed an analog boost gauge...
FWD vs 4WD again... I have K04 in my FWD A3 and its a love/hate relationship. There is very little traction in the dry and none in the wet if I mash the throttle. For anything over 300HP 4WD is the only way to go no matter what kind of diff it has...
Well my measurements are really rough (measured from the wings to the wheel surface) and its just a reference figure. I haven't really thought about the extended drive shafts but I know that there are about 2-3 GTIs that have done this locally and of them is used as a track only car and there is...
Totally agree. It just changes the "linearity" of the throttle resistor making you think that its more powerful with less throttle pedal travel... Its a fun toy but just a toy. IMO save your cash for a remap or something else!
The Japanese guys at Pivot does a similar unit but with different...
Toby... Mods will never stop and Your account will never recover...Just look at me...:( we have caught the bug and will only get worse...in another car, in another time!!
My next target is the new S4...its going to be a crazy beast!!...when I can afford it!!
You are an Angel Robin!! Thanks for all the answered questions! I have ordered a "Devil's Own" water injection kit (US brand) and actually don't know too much about it except that it really cools down the intake charge and cleans your engine like nothing on the market.
I am going to put this...
Got them at my local tuner out here in Hong Kong. Works out to be about $1600 euros. Looks like ECS has a better deal which includes 2 pcs floating discs for a similar price!
I have the 6 pot setup without the large floating discs. You will definately need carriers if you go for the floating discs. I have oped for ML 55 one piece discs so the carriers are not needed.
I hope you liked it as much as I did. I went for a run in the local mountains last weekend and the difference is even more significant. In corners where I had to brake or hold off the throttle I can now accelerate!! I think its crazy and I just enjoy my car so much more now.
I am surprised...
I have the Porsche Cyanne (Brembo) 6 pot set up with ML 55 slotted disks.
Stops on a dime with very good modulation for daily driving (feels very stock but the braking limits is MUCH higher) I do not see a need to upgrade the brakes further even with the current K04 set up.
The down side is...
I share your excitement as I went through the same diet and know the difference it makes! Braking, acceleration, and handing are much improved. Every lbs counts!
Congrats on the change! Brilliant Job!!
Check it out here http://www.eurojetracing.com I paid about the equivalent of $170 Euros here without installation. Note that there is no need to remove the radiator and bumper but it takes a while to maneuver that big pipe in that small space (we played around for over 2 hours). Fit is very...
Yes, I am still on the original box and its holding out perfectly. frequent oil changes to the DSG is a MUST!! No less than 20,000kms between intervals.
My next mod to the box will be a DSG reflash. Will update this thread once its done!
Pollution, noise, and great food... I guess you miss...
