Not seen folding on an A4. Only seen the detachable Westfalias.
They are simple to use but you do of course have the swan neck piece to store when not in use.
Atera racks are superb, though costly if you have a tow bar to carry one on. They clamp onto the ball within seconds.
Slides back to allow full unrestricted access to boot and can carry 3 bikes very securely without any worries of height restrictions.
They screw into rear of grill. Small screws are supplied. Not the best mounting as the grille mesh can interfere with the sensor itself though can be overcome with some adjustment of the sensors on the mount plates pictured.
No such thing as B8 A4 cab. When A4 moved to B8, they ceased cab. It is an A3 or A5 variant in this similar size class now.
They did a B6 and then B7 A4 cab. Mostly cosmetic tweaks between B6 & B7, easy way to tell difference between them is front grille... Split on B6, large one piece look on B7.
Rubber on door seals seems to dry and then not mate as well with door shut. At least on mine and others I've read.
Silicone lube applied to door rubbers seemed to solve for me.
Sorry, tailgate. I do indeed have an Avant - fitted towbar and electrics myself as it wasn't ticked on mine and I got quickly tired of hauling my mud covered rig up above my polished roof :-(
Towbar is likely safest option - though of course costly for initial outlay.
I went that tow bar route and use an Atera hitch mounted rack - it's the best setup I've used from many vehicle and rack configurations and they go up to 4 bike options. Clears the boot nicely too which is a great...
I have phantom black avant and went with the darker RS finish when I had some 19's refurbed.
I've seen factory supply them in the hyper silver, which has an almost white apearance under bright lighting or the darker sort of smoked colour that I opted for. Not sure if they were limited to...
MRC do a replacement filter and pipe. Similar in appearance to AWE but significantly cheaper than that REVO link you posted..
Very slightly more charger noise but not enough to be a concern.
Alas Toby, still not agreeing.
Good overview of what dynamic steering adds here :
Audi Dynamic Steering A4 S4 A5 S5 Q5 - YouTube
I don't believe Servotronic does anything to adjust the ratio of steering wheel rotation vs angle of road wheels... Dynamic steering does.
Dynamic steering was...
Fixed price at 159 ... You sure that applies to S4 and not limited to 2.0 and smaller engines?
Most main dealers at least surrey and hants way seem to be >220 just for basic service (oil, inspection, etc)
Sammi, any issues with jerkiness in reverse. I.e. have you experienced any issues with simply releasing foot brake without applying throttle causing jerky or shudder engagement of drive power when in reverse gear from standstill.
In regards consumption... mines a 2009 DSG with MRC stg 2 and always run on 95 ron fuel.
I see an average of about 21 mpg on mixed usage. Most of those are shortish journey, mixed roads. Seldom get's on the motorway, though a run there typically sees upper 20's. In stop start traffic it's...
Fan system and alternator upgrades were required on earlier cars ... They were not tow prepped.
pretty sure that from 2010 on they started prepping whether bar was ordered on build or not and fitting the updated fans as std.
I might well look to cover up mine...it was just the decal on the wheel I picked up so not bothered me too much thus far.
i'll have a look at the wrap, thanks.
What is the insert at bottom of wheel covered in - the model designation insert. Have you wrapped this yourself?
I still have TTRS on my fully perforated wheel...
