    Window Issues

All working now. School boy error was the problem! When I cleaned the motors, I must have put the motor housing back on in reverse, and hence the magnetic polarity was different :relieved:

    Window Issues

After replacing the passenger window controller, both windows are now out of sync i.e. pressing both switches up a few times, the windows go down. And then, pressing the switches down, the windows go up! One touch doesn’t work either. Does any one know how to go about resolving this, on an Audi...

    Fault Code Reappearing

Yep, all standard brake calipers. It's been like this for several years, and I can't remember how they were before - before I started fixing my car. I think I'll need to test the brake pedals on another car!?

    Fault Code Reappearing

Hi Tuffy, The second time I did the brake bleeding, I used VCDS to cycle the ABS Unit as I had air trapped in it, and the pedal felt a lot better second time round. I use a pressure bleeder and one-way valve tubing - just can't figure out why it will take an inch of travel for the brakes to bite!

    Fault Code Reappearing

I haven't sent of the old unit to BBA Reman yet - just a bit lazy! I'll have a look at that repair service, thanks. Vag-com as in VCDS Master cylinder has been bleed (plus clutch), along with ABS unit and each brake calipers. When the engine is switched off, pressing the brake pedal a few...

    Fault Code Reappearing

Hi, Just a quick update - I've installed the second hand ABS unit in my car, it's been reprogrammed and I had to re-calibrate the steering wheel sensor using vag-com. There's no fault codes appearing, which I'm really happy about. I had to brake bleed my car twice, brakes are not perfect...

    Fault Code Reappearing

I ended up buying the whole unit for around £20 from eBay; bought a TX star socket set from ScrewFix and flare spanner from Halfords. I had to remove the entire unit from my car, it's fairly easy and you will lose brake fluid. I've had to removed the ABS Controller from the aluminium block...

    Fault Code Reappearing

Hi All, I've managed to source a second hand one from eBay, which I've tested, just needed to be reprogrammed and the steering wheel sensor needs to be re-calibrated. I'm not looking forward to brake bleeding :( By the way, are you AntonS38l on forums.ross-tech.com?

    Fault Code Reappearing

Hi, After doing a lot of research, it seems like the ABS Controller is knackered and the fault can not be cleared with vag com. I've removed my ABS Unit and will be sending the ABS Controller to a company called http://www.bba-reman.com (recommended by Audi Epsom), who hopefully should be able...

Aftermarket Radio Head Unit won't power up

My ignition live switch is connected to relay switch 53 (see link provided by tcg). Also the wiring harness needs to be swapped for positive and negative (refer to “Connecting the ISO connectors on some VW/Audi automobiles”) Check and check again, wiring connections for positive and negative...

    Fault Code Reappearing

Having not driven the car for a while, ABS, ESP and Red Brake symbol appeared when engine was started. Replaced the old battery with a new one and all faults were cleared. However, I keep getting the following faults appearing which I'm unable to resolve. Any help would be appreciated...

    Rear middle seat belt stuck

I had similar issues on mine too, I just ended up pulling and pushing the seat belt, and the latch freed itself.

    VAG-COM Logs

Yes, the middle pipe from the inlet manifold has been blocked off; the side connects directly to the brake servo; two small pipes connect to recirculation valve and fuel pressure regulator. Note, before I did this modification, I've been suffering from lack of boost and torque for the last few...

    VAG-COM Logs

I forgot to mention, in the first column, if scroll down you'll find a marker for 3rd and 4th gears with wide open throttle. Also the removing of vacuum pipes is the PCV delete http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/reason-for-deleting-pcv-valve-and-pipework-with-catch-can.106641/

    VAG-COM Logs

I've been doing some data logging again, after removing the lower vacuum pipes beneath the inlet manifold. I've compared my values with some of the forum users that have an Audi S3 2002 BAM Revo 1, and my values look pretty poor. The torque from standstill acceleration seems poor, boost seems...

    ADD W1 baffled catch can

After removing most of my vacuum pipes beneath the inlet manifold, cleaned up PRV and a new PCV - followed my diagram http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/attachments/a3-6589-png.40369/. My car now seems to start and idles nicely. I’m now thinking about the Catch Can route. Has anyone tried ADD W1...

PCV delete w/o catch can for now - all ok?

The workshop manual doesn't show the vacuum pipes (picture <tuffty/> has attached) for BAM engine - hence, I'm curious to know whether I can have that set up. Greg-S3, I don't suppose you have a diagram of photos of your set up?

PCV delete w/o catch can for now - all ok?

After looking at the workshop manual for the BAM engine and reading this website, is it possible to have this setup without the catch can (highlighted in purple and green)? 18 - Crankcase Breather, does this have a one way valve? Is it necessary to remove 06A 103 247, and block it off and...
