I bought software license only from ross-tech.com ($100) and a cable from ebay (about £15 from memory) and all seems to work fine on my B6 S4

Another vote for Aeros here. Bought the kit for my B6 S4 from vagparts for about £60. Vast improvement. Needed a Wiper Arm Removal Tool as well though - £10 from JustOffBase.com
