Hi, I have a 2001 Audi A3 1.8SE I am having some trouble programming a NEW spare key. I can get the doors to lock and unlock, but when you put the key in the ignition it doesnt seem to recognise the immobliser - fires up then cuts out immediately. Old key 4DO.837.231. a 211.01...

Can you please help is it possible to change the battery without loosing the imobiliser and central locking code the vehicle is an A3 1.8 2001(51) cheers.

Can any one tell me how to progame a new key from an old one and does the part number make a differents if the frequences are the same A3 2001 thanks.
