So I've just become a proud owner of a 2018 A5 TFSI 2l Sportsback and I'm really loving it. Not much planned in terms of mods but @DJAlix is going to be fitting the reverse camera in soon.
I've got the Audi warranty until July this year and I want to make sure the car is running right and as it...
Thank you Lee69 for such a speedy reply!
What are my chances of getting this off without damaging the dash? mine looks like some glue was used to hold it on :(
Hi Mate
I have a golf MK5 and I suspect the mass air flow sensor is on its way out but before I go and replace it I was wondering if I could log the full throttle test and check?
I'm in Colindale so let me know if you are free one evening or wknd
Thanks
It seems that my problem is an electrical one. A friend of mine has a vag-com and using this to check the sensor reading, the reading fluctuates between 30 and 130oC, this would explain why the reading via the CC unit only reads 30oC most times. Going to get the wiring checked out so I'll let...
had a vw tech have a look yesterday and the thermostat wasn't fitted properly, apparantly it "locks" into position, I knew it had to be fitted vertically but it also somehow locks by turning it into postion. So now all the pipes are getting hot so that's sorted but I still have the gauge problem...
the thermostat and the sensor were both brought from Audi. After changing both parts, the symptons are the same so changing them has made no difference. Heating is fine and has always been. Could I have a faulty sensor ? as I understand it, mine is a 4 pin so its 2 sensors, one to provide...
update to the problem .....
Last night I happened to be stuck in some heavy traffic and I was worried that the car might overheat so what I did was squeeze the pipe going into the thermo housing as it was warm and for some reason, this got the gauge working, the 49 reading went up to 90+ from...
I have been having a problem with temp gauge for about 2 weeks and from reading some of the posts on this forum, I have so far replaced the temp sensor and the thermostat but its still not working 100%. The problem started when the gauge failed to move and I had been driving on the motorway for...
hello
mine 2001 has developed a smillar problem, the gauge had been jumping between 60 - 90 but before that it would stick at 90. I have changed the sensor mentioned and now it fails to even move, occasionally it will work and stay at 90. Now I have used the AC controls to read the 49 and 51...
Hi all
I've just brought a A3 tdi and it only came with 1 key. Looking at buying another set and I've seen some on ebay with differrent codes. Can somebody tell me what I should check before buying ? I know it will require Audi to program the key to the car but I want to be sure I'm the correct...
Whilst stuck in traffic on the M1 last week I pulled up alongside an E46 M3 CB cab with 19" wheels, which looked absolutely spotless, and therefore very nice indeed. It put my slightly grubby silver coupe to shame. I turned to my left to give the thumbs up and show my appreciation at such a well...
