Weird Bose stereo antics...or is it?

I have done a search and unfortunately I couldnt find an answer so any help for the below is appreciated. Basically at low volumes the passenger side front speaker will go or not and likewise with the front drivers side speaker. To get them both to work I crank the volume and then...

    Viewing well spec'd 3.0. Price?

If it helps mine has basically the identical spec although it is a saloon, bought it last year in November for a bit over £7k....one thing with mine it had only done 29k miles (!) and looked like it had just come from the showroom. I am still happy that I paid a fair price as while the price was...

    Audi's' FREE MOt offer

Just another positive tick for this offer. My car was in for an hour this morning and was given a clean bill of health all for free. I had a chunk out of a tyre that I thought would definitely get flagged but no they never even mentioned it. Oh and my side skirt was drooping a small amount in...

Power to boot / install power socket

Thanks for that. Was there actually an option to have a socket mounted in the boot for the saloon? That would make life easy if it was all set up. Must check this weekend.

Power to boot / install power socket

Just after a little help here... Has anyone fitted a power socket to the boot of their A4 saloon? I am trying to figure out where I can take the power from, which I have concluded needs to be from the fuse box but are the empty spots on the fuse box powered up? (Couldnt find my test light to...

    A4 Quattro 3.0 V6

Had mine for a while now. Problem free apart from a failed coil pack which is pretty much a given at some stage with any Audi it seems. Its a great ride with sufficient (not that there is ever enough really!) power so that when fully loaded its not affected much. If you are after a fast car...

This is worth knowing (for some!)

The only way to tell would be to check out the ballast of the B7 with the same era/update cycle of a Chrysler (SRT) or Jag. If Valeo is still supplying the units I would say there is fair chance they could be the same though with the LED units on the Audis now the system could be totally different.

This is worth knowing (for some!)

It is, for want of a better description the control/power unit for the HID bulb and generates the high voltage needed to run the bulbs. It sits in the bottom of the headlamp and if the back door to the headlamp is open water can get in a sit on top of the unit and eventually destroy it!

This is worth knowing (for some!)

I hope this is useful for some and it may in fact already be known so sorry if it has but..... I posted a few days ago how my factory fitted Xenons had gone out, well one had anyway, turns out the ballast had been soaking in water for the better part of a couple of years judging by the level...

    Parking sensor dash switch removal

I have searched and cannot find but if I have been a muppet and the info is out there sorry if this has been answered. Basically how do I remove the dash P switch for the parking sensors? I have a new switch to drop in as the last one was well scratched and looked awful. Any help appreciated...

    Expensive mistake, worth checking yours.

Cheers for that.....it gets worse though. The circuit board that sits below the lamp is corroded so badly its complete toast. Clearly it has been open to the elements for longer than I thought. Roll on a new headlamp ballast.:crying: Freakin stupid little door

    Expensive mistake, worth checking yours.

Well the other night I was doing a late night 5 hour trip from London to Holyhead for a trip to Ireland. Seeing as it is now spring I naturally ended up driving through snow and sleet for a good hour.:ermm: Upon leaving the ferry in Dublin I flicked my headlights on and one of my factory fit...

    Arrrh cab roof leaking!!

Just a thought, but other than the water in the footwell are there any other indications your roof has leaked? It may be worth checking if your drain plugs under and near the battery are clear if the roof doesnt appear to have leaked.
