Just come back on here after a few years, I used to own that car and yes i did crash it. Basically had a new front end on it to a high standard, think it cost almost £6k to repair and I only sold it to buy a Focus RS. It only had 40k miles on it when i sold it in 2011. Fuel economy is not that bad considering the extra thrill factor you get every time you drive the RS. I can get 36mpg on a run and about 20 mpg around town which is pretty similar to my old S3.

I recently part exed my 52 plate S3 in for an 11 plate Focus RS and it is probably the best car i've ever owned. I looked at new S3's but they honestly did not compare to the RS. By the way mine is a frozen white.

Mine was checked over the phone today off the reg number and it is on there list of cars to do. They booked it in for Friday(macclesfield Audi) and even asked if i minded them cleaning inside and out!

Admiral were fine, i never heard anything from them, dealt with the garage.

The paint quality and match really are spot on. I also had the rear bumper and sills sprayed at the same time and i can honestly not tell that it is not the original paint.

Looking much better now. I did have a LCR splitter on before but i don't think i'll bother with my new bumper.

I'll post some pics up when it comes out of my garage. I just got a nail through the side wall of one of my Pirelli p zero's on my 19" oz's, so i'm waiting for the tyre to be fixed.

Got the car back now. The garage have done a brilliant job. In the end it needed 2x wings, bumper, bonnet and 2x headlights and drive shaft popping back in. Impoosible to tell where it has been resprayed and it actually drives better than it did before.

Smacked another car up the ****! Just hope it's not a write off.

Mine only gets an indicated 20mpg around town(true 18mpg) but will do 37 on a good run.

I'm insured with Admiral, been with them for 10+ years and this is my first claim. Car is totally standard as it is my wifes car!

Luckily air bags never went off. I'm wondering if there was diesel on the road as i braked hard but didn't seem to slow at all.

Crashed my rare colour S3 last night:( Car in front had stopped to turn right on a hill, i hit him and ended up on side of the road in the trees. Car starts but transmission seems to have locked up, could be driveshaft jammed somehow as front steering arm has broken and wheel is hanging off...

I know how you feel, just crashed mine last night. Done both front quarters, bumper, headlights, bonnet and one front wheel hanging off. The car will run but the transmission seems to be jammed so will not drive. Absolutely gutted as it's a really rare colour and low miles too!

Took my 19's off and put my avus's on with winter snow and ice tyres on, absolutely awsome grip in the snow. ripped my LCR splitter off though! Drifts are 10 feet deep in places inbetween Leek and Buxton.
