    New Audi A5/S5 picture thread

Very nice. I’ve been looking at the RS5 (and RS4) as I’m feeling a change of car coming ! How do you like the RS5? Love the colour and not many around in red !

    A5 B9 - Telematics Battery location

I believe this is under the front passenger seat. The battery is expensive (I have seen a post on another forum saying it is c.£200)

    Engine temp.

If the temp doesn’t come up to around 90° after a short while then it does sound like a faulty thermostat. Likely stuck open. Fuel use would be higher as the engine thinks it’s cold so is pushing a more fuel rich mixture into the engine. I’m not sure what model/engine or age of car you have...

Best way to patch a small impact damage (key mark)?

Perhaps a smart repair then? If you look at rear doors (A5 included) they tend to have a pointed bit where the curve over the wheel arch meets the upright. I have a similar ding caused by my youngest opening Mrs Bucks rear door onto my car #littleangels !!

    Sounds like a belt slipping?

Best way to patch a small impact damage (key mark)?

That looks like a door ding where another car has opened their door onto yours (I have one similar) usually the pointed edge of their door just pings the skin on yours. I would be tempted to see if there is is a PDR guy local to you. They will be able to get the dent out quite easily and if the...

    Gauging the market

If you are happy to work at selling then I would gauge the prices on Autotrader and the like then pitch your car in that price range but make sure you have lots of good photos showing all 4 wheels plus interior and every angle of the exterior. you may get contact with silly offers - you just...

    Lock/Alarm light test please?

Just checked for you. When I lock the car the led flashes rapidly around 4 times then stays constant for around 30 seconds (this it checking the interior space and doors I believe). Then it fully arms and goes to a flashing state.

    2019 A5 sportback spec

If you don’t have the interior light pack, it’ll just be white which you can sun/brighten in the MMI options.

B9 A5 TDI Ghost 2 System, steering lock or both?

I’ve not got the Ghost system but do have the OBDPortector which locks access to the OBD port through a Smartcard system. It definitely works - Audi have failed to access the system twice now! Depending on how they stole your car will depend on what system you might want. The advantage of...

    Problems with approved used A5

Nothing like appearing in person. I’d be popping down and asking to speak to someone directly about this.

    Problems with approved used A5

I would certainly be speaking to Audi. Regardless of it being a used car, the work has some issues and they should honour the repair to make them to a suitable standard as it appears to be poor workmanship/quality.
