    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

I managed to get a mate to replace with a Pierburg, which I believe are OEM. £400. That said, I now have the common judder issue around 1500-2500 revs. Had a forced regen carried out leaving no soot... It's still there

    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

It's a fair point well made. I'm not sure she would notice apart from the power increase. That was a question I couldn't get a definitive on though, the exhaust note change... You also apparently get that diesel smell on start up. I've booked it in now for the EGR. Yes this could get messy...

    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

As above, these are totally different. You need to remove the sub frame to get at it. I've been quoted by two mechanic mates... £395 and 430. I can get it mapped, egr software wiped and dpf gutted for £300. It's the wife's car so not bothered and speed. Benefits of having it all wiped. Faster...

    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

I'm trying to convince the wife on coding it all out and gutting the dpf. She's not playing ball though and wants a new EGR... I wouldn't mind if it was her paying for it ‍♂️

Are you saying your egr fault is actually your turbo actuator?

    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

Thanks for the reply chaps. I should have mentioned that's it's the CFFB engine. I've since taken it for an Italian tune up which seems to have gotten rid of the warning lights and limp mode for now. I do however have a permanent EGR code P040300 which indicates a circuit issue with the EGR...

    2.0tdi issue and preventative maintainance

Hi, I'm posting here instead of the Q3 section given that it'll be the same engine, and hoping for a wide audience. My wife owns a 2.0tdi 140 which has recently started flagging a flashing coil on the dash intermittently which sends the car into limp. Turning the engine on and off solves it...

    Vcds or OBDeleven... Latest

Hi everyone! I'm looking at the best option for my wife's 2013 Q3. My initial thought was to buy a genuine vcds cable, but now considering other options given the lack of complexity required. I need the functions mainly to recalibrate the xenon sensors, fault read and for the rear caliper...

    VCDS Supplier

I was just logging in to buy my second cable off you! Noticing that you weren't distributing any more I need it for the wife's Q3 for an engine light, xenon sensor recalibration and likely battery coding... I was going to consider Obd11 but read quite a few reviews on the long coding not being...

    8V chassis A3 VCDS

Thanks chaps, it's only for the wife's Q3 so not really worth throwing the money at it. I had my previous vcds (from NHN) for retrofits mainly.... It might be that Carly fits the bill, especially as I'll likely be able to use with the BM

    8V chassis A3 VCDS

So the leads on the bay for £30-£50 won't give me basic fault finding?

    8V chassis A3 VCDS

I've been away from VAG for a while now and having sold my Vagcom cable, am in the market to get another compatible with the 8V chassis (3rd party). I have a K+Dcan usb and an OBD 2 enet cable which i have used for BM's up until now - I downloaded release 19.6 but cannot get either to connect...

Vagcom USB lead - what's it worth

Thanks Sandra, in that case I'll bung it on Ebay tonight, unless anyone on here wants it.... :)

Vagcom USB lead - what's it worth

After someone asked about me parting with my original Vagcom lead, I decided to look and see what it was worth! Noticing that these are still going for upto near on £200 2nd hand (think mate was thinking about the price of a knock off lead). I have no use for this anymore having jumped to BMW a...

    s3dave - R.I.P.

Rip Dave, you were one of the most memorable characters on here. Dry sense of humour and above all you knew your stuff. You will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to your family at this unexpectedly sudden and distressing time

    F1 season 2014

Hallooo!! I have to nip back every now and again, helps me realise that not all forums are full of none conversational halfwits that seem to frequent the BMW forums :) Woohoo, well fingers crossed for a decent year like the Bahrain GP. Can't believe I missed the 'Fantasy F1'! logged in and...
