Thanks Andy, much appreciated. So the yellow plug is the only one that needs to go into the red socket on the PC9-404, then the remaining 2 (brown and black from memory) plug into the other part of the PC9-404 (Front speakers and power presumably?) Told you I was a luddite :-D

I have an 8L A3 (non Bose). The original Concert HU has died, and I have an old Kenwood with RCAs that came out of my last car I'm going to temporarily replace it with until I can afford something better. I've bought a PC9-404, and am currently waiting on a replacement 16 pin to ISO to go into...

Got a slight problem here...I need to remove my HU as my dension Icelink is faulty. I've removed the HU in the past (to fit the Icelink) and have the correct removal tools. However, when I inserted the keys earlier there was a horrible clicking noise from the left one, and now the key just slots...

Yeh, thats the one. I read your post so was a bit worried about the trims but all looks fine. The S6 I had was blue. The bloke apologised for it having a scratch down one side (looked like it had been keyed), but I really didnt care about that! ****** massive car after an A3 though :laugh:

Mine went into Audi Exeter on Monday, and I just picked it up today, everything looks ok, and as an added bonus they gave me an S6 as a courtesy car :w00t:

Mines booked in for Monday, took it in last week and someone had a quick look (not the paint guy), he rang today to say Audi authorised it without wanting to do a proper inspection, result :)

Funnily enough I noticed a small bit of bubbling on my roof rails yesterday. What's the procedure for putting in a claim, contact dealer and take it from there I guess?

I'm pretty sure AGU engines cant be done, as that's what I've got and wanted it :( Can't pretend to understand the technicalities of it....think it's something to do with if the car is drive by wire or not.

Number 51 on the readout, pretty sure thats correct, it goes up as car warms up, stops bang on 90 and stays there. Thanks for the link that's really helpful, a mate of mine is a mechanic so would be doing it with his supervision ;)
