    No luck with admiral. They seem to think a chip is safer etc etc - rubbish. I have tried some other companies today and when i made it clear what they were doing they scratched their heads too. yes we can add that modification - an engine chip? No i said and ECU remap - oh we are not sure how...

    Anyone else had this problem? Phoned to check the cost of adding this to my policy on my 2.0tfsi A4 and was told that i cannot add the "remap" to this policy because they view it as high risk compared to "chipping". The reason being that the upper limit of remapping was not controlled so power...

    Part numbers for timing belt work

    I tried to look into this idea of 80K vs 120K - lots of discussion in other threads. Seemed like the service interval changed pre and post facelift. Just want to be safe not sorry. 120K seems like a long time too. My service book is not entirely clear either.

    Hope someone can help. After reading a lot of the debate surrounding when timing belts should be done on S3s I have decided as i cannot see any evidence of it being done in the history of the car and approaching 70K I should get it done. I have also read that as well as the timing belt itself...
