I have just changed the oil and filter on my 1.8t 190 sport and noticed the new filter(halfords) is not as big as the the one audi put on last service. Is this going to cause any problems?could I just get a new filter and screw it on as it sits quite high on engine without loosing too much oil...

I have a tapping noise on start up for about 3 secs that seems a lot louder than the usual oil into lifters noise.could it be the turbo on its way out?car is 1.8t 190sport with 65000 on it. Any advice most appreciated

Just noticed a noisy rattle on start up that lasts for a second or so. It seems quite loud then just goes back to normal engine noise Car is 1.8t 190 sport with 58000 belt was done at 49000 Any advice most appreciated

Im currently on long life service,but I would like to change the oil and filter myself when I got the car a4 1.8t 190 it had 15000 left till service it now says 10000 Is this a simple task (ie it wont turn any service lights on or upset the computer if I do it myself) cheers

quick update Took it back to audi they replaced rear arb bush while I waited on drive home could still hear a slight rattle on bumpy roads (waste of time) sounds like something is loose( noise seems to come from all over)not on any particular corner any suggestions!!
