    2.0 TDI DSG ECU Tuning???

What sort of performance are we talking once chipped though? as in faster than a Golf GTi and a lot of the other hot hatches about (Clio 172 etc)?

    S Line Suspension

Is the Sport S-Line option suspension different to just Sport or S-Line? I find the ride fine on my Sport S-Line, but coming from other cars with much harder suspension, it feels a lot softer than im used to. Like it a lot, but must admit there are a few occassions where it doesnt feel quite...

DSG is a progression of a standard gearbox, although some people do prefer the traditional gearbox, its good that Audi are ahead of the game. Ferrari, Aston Martin, and most other high end performance car manufacturers have evaluated similar systems and opted to put them on some of their best...

    S3 News

Well, I can only speak from my experience of owning cars big on driver involvement, and id say that given modern conditions, involvement and enjoyment are not the same, even in a decent car. Cars with a high degree of driver involvement can be very tiresome in day to day driving, because you...

The whole thing with Manual vs DSG is all about the individual. I personally enjoy DSG more than manuals, and would choose one over any manual box. With magazines like Evo etc, all they are interested in is outright performance, which is fine if you can give the car a good thrash around an empty...

My miles till next service never decreases?

Nope, its got 43000 miles on it, and since I bought it, ive done approx 1000 odd miles in it. It said 14400 miles till next service when I bought it, and has never changed, I wouldve expected it to drop or increase slightly in that time (had it about a month), but it hasnt.

Overly sensitive throttle response with 3.2 DSG.

Does the car not roll slowly when you just engage D or R? I tend to let the cars own momentum do the throttle control when parking etc, and then just very gently apply the throttle when pootling in traffic, but I suppose a 3.2 is a different kettle of fish altogether, lots of potential up front...

My miles till next service never decreases?

Cool, ill keep an eye on it, was just surprised to not see it drop from 14000 (not 1400 as I out in original post). Not complaining thou, guess the cars happy enough, thou if in a few months its still showing the same, may stop by Audi and ask them why my car seems to have a fear of servicing.

My miles till next service never decreases?

Thats what I thought, but since owning the car, its indicated 1400, and it still does about a month or so after. I drive it quite spiritedly, so would expect a slight drop at least???

My miles till next service never decreases?

On my A3 2.0TDi, when I pull the little, um, stick thing, out, it always says 14400 miles till next service. Say I drive 800 miles over a few weeks, then check again, still 14400, so doesnt seem to have figured out that im actually covering miles, does it need a reset or something???

Picked up my A3, thoughts and S2000 comparison

Picked up my 2.0TDi Sport S-Line DGS on Saturday, and after one revisit to the dealer (there was a massive bulge in the tyre wall, no idea how they missed it!!), have been driving it loads over the weekend. Its even better than I remember from the test drive, has excellent balance, and the...

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

Yeah, they must over read, so you think you're going faster than you actually are.

    Revo remap on 2.0Tdi DSG

Nice results, must be a whole bunch quicker!! Good news about the fuel consumption too, best of all worlds then really. Edited to remove last question, already answered in the 0-100 thread.

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

[ QUOTE ] Having lived with my Tdi for a couple of weeks, I'd suggest that for legal fun the Tdi is outrageous. 100mph is academic these days as it is instant ban territory. For quick cross country driving, in the real world (with speed cameras everywhere) the Tdi with or without DSG...

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

Well if a remap allows genuine sub 20 second to 100MPh to be possible, then its a pretty inexpensive and simple way of making a really nice luxury hatch into a warm/hot hatch. Ive heard fuel consumption on the 2.0TDi actually improves following the remap? is that genuine?

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

Actually, what am I saying!! I bought the car predominantely for the economy and quality it offered, and im already thinking about remapping it!! Not good....must...........resist....

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

They're confident the increased power and torque wont damage or shorten the life of a DSG box? also, is the code removable for warranty? Ill probably wait till warranty runs out anyway (about 8 months or something), but be interesting to see what the resultant 0-60/100MPh times are like.

Why the bad 0-100MPh time for 2.0TDi?

Be interested to find out how how the remap changes the driving characteristics of the car MikeP, particullaly with a DSG box. All good info about this, and as no one would buy a 2l diesel because they want performance, I suppose a slow 0-100MHp time isnt particullaly important. Edit: Nice...
