    OK... it was running fine for a month and now it just started acting up again. Very intermittant problem.:keule:. I've checked for leaks, but a leak wouldn't be an intermittant problem like this is. This sounds like an electronic problem...so now I'm off to look at the MAF or the CM :uhm...

    turbo cuts out at 2800 rpm and I loose power.... but after my battery went dead the other day everything started working normally once I got a jump start. This has happened twice so far... turbo starts working if the battery voltage goes down. Computer problem???

    Well...from what your thread said, it very well could be a coil pack. But I really dont hear the car mis-firing or running rough as you might think what would happen if there was a bad plug or coil pack. But I've never had to deal with individual coils before, so the symtoms my be different...

    Hummm....the engine runs nice and smooth..even over 3000 rpm. It climbs fast up to 3000 then the power drops off...but keeps climbing. No engine light comes on....I'm starting to think it might be the K75 valve.

    Hello, I'm new to the VW family

    Never thought about buying a VW Beetle until I test drove a 2001 1.8T. After driving it I noticed that acceleraton was slightly surging but still had A SH*# load of POWER!!!!...Could this car have been "Re-curved" or "Chipped"?...How can I tell.
