I had this on a car I used to own....allbeit a Renault Clio. Think it was just the starter. Try cleaning the connection for it, and see if that helps, it did on mine. Saying that it did it for two years and never caused an issue.

Complain to the insurance ombudsman. If you have it in writing that they have offered it you....you have a case. the ombudsman will review your case.

It arrived exactly when Guy said it would, and I've topped up the car. Possibly a tiny touch too much as I've burnt a tiny amount off through the zorst. Worried myself for a second lol.

AFAIK stolen recovered with no damage is category X. So you shouldn't actually lose any value in my opinion as long as you can show it wasn't actually damaged.

As far as buying a car goes. Being an innocent purchaser is about as grim as it can get. As for sueing the last owner.... the burden of proof lies with you to prove he sold the car to you knowing it was ringed. Proving that could be tough in court. But all the very best of luck.

Tom, as a matter of interest, have you the A3 or S3? The guy who I found with the parts wanted almost double for the S3 Central locking pump! It's one letter different on the part code.

Yeah I did go for that. I paid £35 for enough to do a full oil change...delivered. Seemed fair to me, and he really does know his stuff , seen a few of his posts on forums that I use... It should be here today.

I took mine to Audi only in Manchester. If you replace the C/locking motor with one out of say a crash damaged car, then it's coded up wrong.... central locking will work but the key fob won't alarm. One key in ignition, one in the door I think and then needs the code ripping off.... Cost me...

I thought this was normal? When I'm on m/way... the temp gauge drops slightly from 90 all the time. Didn't think anything of it to be fair, I just thought it was with the cool airflow? Hope so anyhow!!
