    Dealer determined that the valve body needed to be replaced, under Audi Assured Warranty. Had it done, but problem still there. Taking it back Monday. I'll let you know what they find. Joseph

    Has any one experienced a whining in the trans. while driving? I noticed this when I am driving upgrade or accelerating and driving at normal speeds. I have an appointment with service dept next Friday. I suspect trans. oil flush and filter. Thoughts anyone?

    It is housed with the passenger side woofer located in the trunk. I was looking for it to be seperately installed.

    Actually, and depending on the year you are referring to, the A8 has 340 HP and the S8 has 360 HP. They both have the same 4.2 ltr. engines, but the compression ratio is higher with the S8 hence the added horespower & torque.
