People with ipod or MP3 aux-in lead to headunit - where do you run the cable?

I've just got an aux in lead to run my mp3 player into my Symphony head unit on the CD changer connection. Where do people run this wire to in the cabin? I'd like to get it out either in the ashtray or the little coin tray underneath - can this be done, will I need to cut or drill any dash to...

S3 Video, is my clutch slipping???

I think you might need to get it booked in at the garage mate. You gonna go for a standard or uprated clutch?

sound of something electrionic by the back tyre/under thecar

Yep there is a pump that circulates the engine coolant for a short while after the engine has been turned off. You'll hear a slight whirr from the engine bay.

    S3 test drive

Check if the clutch is showing any signs of slipping. Is the suspension tight? Bushes and ARB mounts are on their way out at these kinds of miles. You may need to get a new MAF also, but that's not a dealbreaker.

    S3 Clutch Slip

Just read your post on mayo in the oil... maybe it's not clutch. Doesn't explain your revs climbing not in line with acceleration. Are you sure that is happening? If so that's gotta be clutch.

    S3 Clutch Slip

Mate, reading those those statements I would find it hard to believe it is ANYTHING other than clutch slip. I had a remap a short while ago and got exactly what you're talking about just a day later. The car was pathetic, you'd plant your foot and the revs would just spin round, it felt like...

Audi S3 Clutch / REV problem - HELP!

Have you tried adjusting the clearance on your clutch pedal switch? The little peg on the switch pulls out on a ratchet and then I believe should push itself back in to the correct level when you press the pedal down. Try getting down there and pulling the peg out as far as it will go.

    any one seen these?

I'd be a bit suspicious, especially with brakes! Cheapo imported chinese brembo knock offs, or decent merchandise? Who knows until you try them out. They are coming from **** it says on the auction.

Clutch, Defcon stage 2 and ARBs fitted

Finally I've had my majorly slipping clutch replaced for a Sachs paddle. At the same time I went for R32 ARBs and stage 2 Defcon suspension bushes. Plus had the front suspension top-mounts replaced as these were clonking big time. The car's been transformed! Now I can use the remap and drive it...

    Headlight shadow

You're getting your concepts mixed up, HID bulbs don't have a filament to heat up. They still generate heat but not in the same way as a traditional light bulb, which get hot because they are so inefficient.

    Just fitted my clutch

I had a Sachs paddle clutch fitted at APS in Brackley yesterday for £700 inc vat and parts. Very nice it is too, launches like a rocket now!

    Custom Code ate my clutch!

I don't want to be afraid of launching my car. It seems some people on here give it the big 'un about their Grandma driving style.

    Custom Code ate my clutch!

I've just thought, can anyone confirm if this is correct... If my clutch has gone can I just replace the clutch plate itself with the MTM uprated plate? Or do I need the rest of the parts in an oem clutch kit, and just not use the OEM clutch plate.
