Grumbas, I have exactly the same problem as you do. My clutch biting point is very low near the floor at the morning but it will came back to normal after driving for a while.
Most people said its either the master cyclinder at the clutch pedal or the slave cyclinder at the gearbox failed.
Hi all, I have a 02' 8L S3 and I found a problem at the clutch pedal recently. The biting point of the clutch became very low at start up (only 2-3cm from the floor) sometimes and the biting point raise back to normal position after driving for while.
Is it master/slave cylinder related problem?
Hi guys, I have been seeking solution to this problems for awhile. I have a S3 and my steering wheel starts to wobble at speed higher than 80mph. I have replaced the top mount, ARB bush, ARB droplinks and control arm bush but there is no improvement.
The only thing left out is the tie-rod ends...
I have checked the car out again today and want to get some clue, I found out that when I touch the top mount on the driver's side when turning the steering, it creaks and judder and the passenger side is smooth. Is it the top mount again?
Yes and I have even replaced all the fluid in the rack.
The knocking through firewall feeling is most pronounced at slow speed (about 10 to 15km/hr) when rolling on uneven road. At the same time if brake is lightly applied and move the steering back and forth, you will have the rubbing feeling...
After replacing the upper mount and bushing, my S3 still have the groaning and creaking feeling which best described by a post on www.audiforums.com by SLVR99A4:
"Hey guys,
Having some power steering rack problems with my 99 A4 Quattro Tip w/ 94k on it. Have the famous groaning noise...
Hey Chris, I found this phtoto from your album

I found the ride height just spot-on, what suspension you are running on that pics?
Ess3, I discussed this issue with you before. Fingermouse, change the tie-bar to the lower position will definitely bring your camber and toe back to resonable figures.
Hi all, I have a fuel level sensor fault diagonsed by VAGCOM on my MY02 facelifted S3. I have heard that there are two fuel level sensor in the tank. Do I need to replace both of them? Thanks.
Maciek, I have PSS installed and I am now running -1.5deg at the front. Try playing with the ride height a bit unless you don't want to go lower.
By the way, how is your rear spring looks like at the rear when the car is sitting on the ground? Did it looks like fully compressed?
So you mean the PSS should work better than the spring/combo setup?
However, the rear is already at its highest setting. Let me post a pic later in the day to show you.
I have the adjustable tie-bar replaced the upper control arm. With the trailing arm bearing plate sitting at its furtherest...
My S3 is currently sitting on Bilstein PSS (B14) from the previous owner. I found it too low at the rear with the collapsed looking spring and I am planning to do something to it.
I usually used my car at the weekend and will drive it hard ocassionally on windy mountain roads. I find the...
Prawn, my S3 has exactly the same problem and I am still looking at what happen. With all the alignments set at equal (-2deg camber, 0deg40" toe) for both sides at the rear, u can easily spot one wheel is sitting more inboard then the other. I measure the horizontal gap between the top of the...
As I am still looking for new suspension, I am wondering if there is anyone in the forum who installed the PSS9 has rear springs that looks normal but not fully compressed.
