Again, I would recommend Dean to anyone - excellent service. I was not having a go at him one bit, just putting it out there as I know he does thorough...
Just had a service from Dean at four rings about 2 weeks ago and nothing was picked up on then. And yes, the humming starts after 30, and disappears when i turn left...But i would not be surprised if it was the Diff, given my tranny prolems :keule:
not tried it myself, but i imagine it would either light up or go dull..try and let us know what happens..if the car blows up, it's your fault though... ;-)

What is this all about - Recently I have noticed a problem when driving, which gets noticeably louder at speed. It is a drooning, but not quite grinding noise, which is most noticable at about 30 to 50. It seems to get slightly worse when i turn...
Give Wak at VAGTECH a call mate, they advertise on here...as reliable advice, and service as they come..He works in cooperation with Dean at 4rings...
Both are excellent to work with
I hate tdi's in the cold...best bet is to change the plugs and battery (if not already)...or make sure the electric is getting to the plugs in the first place...
