I read you have to watch out for organisms living in the organic substances, as these can eat away at parts of your fuel system. Something about it in Auto Express this week.
I personally think £13k would be a good price.

Exactly, I'll catch you all up at fuel stops :) but i agree lets just do the Alps and back. Having now visualised the route!
£900 all in you think? Including hotels, food, tolls etc. The mileage for this one must be nearing double the last one!
Have just checked the route on google maps its about 2,300 Miles (if we do the loop, go back to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to close the loop then back to UK (destination Bristol)
Seems like a good route. We thinking 3 days? Bearing in mind its about 36hrs pure driving?
Was wondering what sort of route would be taken? Maybe down towards Monacco then over to Italy and back up?
Don't really have any idea's for routes or if thats a possibility or not.
And in reply to that I'll bring the TT instead if its that much of an issue!:arco::arco:
Indeed can't wait for a look see!
Now, to save for the new camera, get a driving buddy and await a new event! I do get the biggest buzz from convoy driving!
Looks good so far.
Well in the end never went through with it as it was my mums car then and I bought it off her. Cost to change would have been about £12k? And that would of been 'cash' as it were no finance deals for them.
Interesting debate! Didn't expect this much!
I agree on the point 100% Finance is just silly. In someways a PCP (another can of worms) can be tempting BUT:
a) Never own it
b) Can't modify it as you don't owe it
c) Deposit up front
d) Big pay up at the end where you give the car back...
My A3 at 3 years old Audi said £14k P/X against a new TT.
Mines a Sportback, 2.0TDI Sport with 20k (then).
Seen private adds for 05 same spec for £14k now with about 30k on clock.
When we are saying finance are we on about a money loan? Or are we on about PCPs and all that fancy rubbish.
End of the day is you pay full price for the car, credit/finance or cash the depriciation is always there.
If you have the money today say £20 or £20k loan its CHEAPER to do a loan.
Do the maths on the interest you would loose by shelling out £20k cash and its marginally cheaper than loaning it and keeping the £20k in savings.
Personally have cashed mine tho. No morgage etc etc. Not an S3, a 2nd...
