Split throttle body boot is one of the most common causes of overboost and limp mode usually found undrneath when removed , obviously the engine never actually gets the boost and will over compensate and the turbos work overtime goes into limp mode and trowing the code max boost limit exceeded...

Its really not worth running new cables through the doors unless A they are already damaged or B doing a full door build

must be wrong one remember one of the screw holes is used to hold the speaker aswell as the adaptor ie a longer screw ,get a pic up so we can see , ive fitted many of these never had a problem with it actually fitting to the door card tho .

its all down to the install and proper use of materials but still the a4s are very poor design when installing speakers

they are dare wheels so just tell em its b5 s4 should be ok with fitting kit only problem may be clearance on that type of wheel with calipers

Any kind of overboost and limp mode is usually due to boost leaks in these cars unfortunatly . Cou;d also be a bad map requesting too much and causing a throttle cut . First things first do a leak test it will eliminate a lot of problem areas.
