As I said in an earlier post get down to Crosby and have a drive round...... It will be parked up in a car park or side street out of the way... they wont damage the car because then it will draw attention..
What is a bit strange is that they have come along way to take yours...
Thought it was you... Yes I have also come back to an S3 after leaving the IX although I do notice a difference between my S3 and my 360 but I actually prefer the drive of the S3 as an every day car....
I recognise that user name from some where else Geoff..... Would I be right in thinking you have gone from Jap to German?????
Nice increase in power for a freebie
If you have the time and you want to get it back go for a drive around manchester. I know it's a big place but it could be well worth it. Iam sure it will be parked up for a few days in a side street or on some housing estate. There will be no damage to the car as they won't want any attention...
I have just come from an EVO IX fq360 MR and to be honest it would leave my standard S3 behind, what power its your Stage 2 ???
I find the S3 to be a much better all rounder. The EVO is a better car when going flat out on the B roads but how often are we doing that... The biggest downside to...
With regards to the brake run out I doubt you would feel it under general driving and only under braking....
The lad at work only had very minimal run out but what made me think yours could be same issue is the fact that after putting in a new set of discs and pads his went again in no...
As mentioned in the last post check your hubs for run out. A lad a work had the exact same problem on a Honda. His new setup only lasted 900 miles and they had gone again.
If you Google it you should find a few company's that can machine your hubs. I think its actually done on the car.
My dad had an issue with his A4 avant (different to yours) and that was sent to Milton Keynes HQ. He didn't see it for 6 months and when It came back it still had the same issue so they agreed a compensation package where he got free servicing and some other things.... He wasn't to bothered as...
Guys
I currently have a 9 360 MR and like phil sparky as said they really are a great car. I hardly use mine as I dont like using it for knocking about thats why I am thinking of getting shut for a S3. I had one about 4 years ago and the S3 really is a great all rounder.
Phil sparky I think i...
I often travel to dolgellau as my parents have a caravan there. I have to say its one of my favourite sections of road. I use it as test for all my cars. The road is very testing with all types of corners and various straights. The scenery in and around that area is well worth a look.

Just been reading through your thread and I see you have had a couple of evo's I currently have a IX FQ360 MR and am thinking of getting an S3 just for a change as I rarely use the evo these days..... How do you find the s3 compared with the evo in general?????
I had the old s3 a few...
I have a problem with my fuel gauge. Its reading full all the time so to is the DIS (350 MILES)
As anyone had this problem before??? if so was it the sender or something else???
Any tips on sorting this problem myself would be helpfull
cheers
I have had an Escort cossie (270ish bhp) Evo6 (330bhp) and the S3 would not go any where near these cars. I have also had the Revo trial put on my S3 and it still did not pull like any of the above. As for the Evo6 and the RS6. I had a Rs6 from Audi for a day and in comparison to the Evo6 I...
