Has always been fine as far as I'm aware. Never been bumped but suddenly its started steaming up. Never noticed it before, but noticed it when the headlamp bulb stop working. Common problem? Easy fix? I was just going to go at it but its hasn't stopped snowing in days and I don't really fancy it!
Its a dog **** job to do but I did it. Which is why I was more annoyed when it didn't work!
You can't replace the whole board for a MK3 Golf one cause it doesn't have the right plugs for the wiring loom. Was just the motor and the plates that I swapped out IIRC.
Its just annoying me now. I may...
Okay, so when I got my A3 TDI the central locking wasn't working. The guy said he had tried a new pump on it but it didn't work. I don't know if he had or hadn't so after trawling about and trying to find a pump I ended up repairing my old one.
The little plates in the pump had shattered so I...
Central locking has never worked on the A3 since I got it. After trying to find a new pump and failing I finally got a hold of one from a mk3 Golf. Stripped all the internals out and swapped them into the A3 one. Basically what has happened is the plates that are inside the pump itself, the...
It must be that. The central locking wasnt working so the pump was removed. Then a few days later realised the windows stopped working. Odd that they control each other! So I need to replace the pump and it will hopefully all start working again!
Cheers!
Yeah the panel has stopped lighting up. I've had a look at the fuse card but I can't work out which one is for the windows. The closest thing I can find is the comfort module. But I don't think thats right.
I really don't want to have to pull all the fuses out and replace them.
All the windows used to work on the Audi fine. No problems but then all of a sudden all the windows stopped working. Even the panel with all the window switches has stopped working. If you use the switches on any of the other windows they no longer work. I've read about the window clip thing but...
If you do end up painting it on the car, make sure you sheet up the whole of the back end. Nothing worse than being able to see something that is freshly painted and then has a news paper sized bit of good paint then everything else is just overspray.
I wouldn't do anything if I was leaving it for a month. Its not a particularly long amount of time. Sometimes my car sits outside the house for 2/3 weeks without any use and thats just cause I don't need to use it much.
Are they just the standard ball type fitting ones? If they constantly fail is it not worth spending a bit of time down a scrapyard with one and finding one of another VAG model thats near enough the same size or slighly bigger that it can be replaced with?
Checked the diagram on the fuse box cover but it doesn't seem to say. I really don't want to just start pulling all the fuses out and checking every single one.
I'm sorry, I know its a douchey newb question.
