It's been like 12 years since my #last post and I HAVE SINNED... A5 question now though...

Well, I suppose it's not that A5 specific buuuut. Any reports on a 2.0tfsi remap economy v standard economy? I've had a look honest , but can't find anything. I want to go back to petrol but the car will be doing over 1000 miles month so I'm hoping to fight it's corner. Cost at the pump is...

So, what you all up to? Who the hell remebers me?!

I'm not back, don't have an audi and am in fact getting rid of the clit (Mondeo) in favour of a 98 naked Diversion (already 2000 wobbly mile covered!). I dearly want another audi but it's unlikey to happen this side of an Alien incursion, a cure for cancer or all of us being 100% truely happy...

afn tdi loud ticking noise i think from n75

I don't think the N75 is capable of making that noise, and if either N75 wasn't happy you'd have major (like 0%) boost issues. I dunno what the electrovalve is (maybe a dodgey 80's band?) Maybe something has worked loose and rubbing against a moving part?

1.9TDI (Pre facelift) Start and Dies after a second (starts maybe 4th attempt)

Seriously check the main earth from the battery, it may be way off the mark but this caught me out when I was in Aberdeen. I very sheeping when the RAC dude sorted it with a 10ml spanner, some wire wool and a skoosh of wd40.

Newbie in need of some advice/help

I had my ABS ecu replaced and it had to be an exact part number swap... there are issues with later revisions. Check out bba-reman's website, they have a pretty good section on ABS units and relevant / replacement part numbers. The sensors can be a pig if it's one of them, had to drill one of...

Returning to B5 ownership - S4, what to look out for...?

Ha. I just popped onto the forum tonight to see who was around. I think you moved on just before me...I'm getting rid of my current hack in favour of a permanent two wheel option ( I KNOW!) and thinking of returning (if need be) to a B5 tdi... glad to see someone else is revisiting...

    1.9tdi 115 service intervals

Hey peeps, been a while since I've post on ASN! I'm looking at an A6 avant 1.9tdi (115) SE and am wondering about the service intervals. Currently on around 130k with stamps in the book but I'm wondering when the timing belt and water pump etc should be replaced? I used to have an A4 quattro...

Hi all, Just bought an A4 Avant TDi Quattro, gen on some issues

Bloomin heck, I thought was going to be my old A4 tdi q avant for a moment there! On those issues, not much to offer other than on the front abs sensors. They 'should' be an easy enough fix but both mine were totally seized in. Ended up in splitting the hub and extracting them with much cursing...

    Sorry!

For about the 3rd post I've said that I've been going list various bits and pieces for sale and to date not managed to. Sorry to the pm's, I will get back to you. Every time I make a move on this my snow globe of a world gets turned upside-down. I'll post again when I get a chance.

    Hi to all..

I left the mile cage issue alone. No real concern of mine. Any part available will have the p/n listed, I can look private sales but would really prefer to shift the lit in one go...

Anyone ever bent a rear tie rod on a quattro?

A wee while back I hit a canyon sized pot hole on the A82 (loch lomond side, before the upgrades). It wasn't til it was parked up the next day that I realized something wasn't right. I thought it was ok so drove it back to Fort William..The top 'A' shaped arm / wishbone had failed big...

    Hi to all..

I've finally got around to clearing out the garage. I'll post a classified tomorrow with the few bits I have left. I'll be hanging on to my vagcom lead as it will do most of the cars I'm looking at for 2010. Bit's in there are rear diff seals, avant wiper stalk, rear hub/disc shield and a few...

    Siena ripped me off

Seems so. As with everything, there are reasons... not excuses or explanations but none the less reasons.

    Siena ripped me off

cripes! You don't get this on the Mondeo forum... in fact, you don't get much on the mondeo forum. Which I still had my B5, with which incidently Siena was a stand up chap and seemed to be one of the only guys that could help me with p/n's etc as stinky was a fatherland import.

    Piggin Ford... Piggin Cmax...

04 CMAX - 2.0tdci To date. new EGR 18 months ago, now goosed and getting replaced again. Fusebox woes which result in loss of reversing lights, parking sensors and rear numberplate lights. Fuel rail sensor knackered, which, as it's embedded in the rail requires a whole new rail.+ Anyway...

    1 of 9 lives gone...........(more like 4 of 9 to be truthfull)

Dude. My underwear would have been incinerated. Reminds me of a near head-on I had on the A1M. The what if's don't bear thinking about. Glad you're safe and it's only metal that's bent. That really is the only main concern. Sometimes, it'd be nice to be able to take a **** like him round behind...

    Hey peeps...

Hmmm. Gonna look into this more. Only out of curiosity than anything else. And I finally settled for doing nothing about the car being sold on clocked. I can get supporing evidence about the original sale from Ebay etc re the original values on the car, though I'm sure it won't come to that..
