Yeah, the value has dropped big time since petrol costs went silly, it's the same throughout the market, not just Audi's :( Mine owes me a lot more than £2K let me tell you, it's a bargain guys!
Had a look at that one I mentioned above last night and it was no good, engine seemed sound from what little knowledge I know and the bodywork was ok but 3 of the wheel arches had plenty of blistering and needed 4 new tyres...plus he was only gonna give me a grand for my A4 and wanted a grand...
Hey, I'm considering buying an A3 1.9 TDi once I get rid of my 96' A4 2.6 Quattro and just wondering if there's anything I should look out for as I'm new to the TDi range...any flaws or things I need to know and to look out for, how many K miles are they good too etc etc...?
Thanks in advance...
Unfortunately not :( Due to extorsionate petrol costs these days and the fact that I'm a trainee I'm going for something economical, was considering an A4 TDi but we'll see!
Mothy, even when I give it lots of revs it still cuts out which is why I think it's an electrical cut-off of some sort rather than something mechanically dodgy.
Byzan, I was until the little yellow light goes off before starting (I assume this is the immobilzer symbol) and even after that it...
I got FK's but imagine they can't be too dissimilar! Don't have a specific setting but have it around 5mm from the bottom on the rear and around 2 inches from the bottom on the front...with low profile tyres the ride is pretty poor but looks the dogs you-know-whats and while I'm young and care...
I'm running coilovers on mine, set of FK highsports set me back just short of £500 from Venom (Quattro model)...ride is horrible but people say handling is better with standard suspension...that's a load of tosh mate, hardly any body roll with the coillies but the ride is awful compared to...
I'm pretty sure it must be a common fault as I've seen another A4 in a car park having the same issue I'm having...
When I start the car now and again it runs for around 1-2 seconds then cuts out and I can try around 3 or 4 times before starting and running (7 tries was the worst ever!)...
That is a bargain!! I sold a set of these, genuine and same size but with tyres for £500 with some slight damage too! Bought them for £250 n thought that was cheap! Get a profit on them mate, everybody's got them now so sell em and get a different set with the profits :)
Anybody going to this again? it's on 9th March 2008 at the Telford Internation Centre near Birmingham

Sweet, had a quick scan through and it seems to make sense...will have a good look later and hopefully should work! Cheers for that mate! Any other advice is much appreciated :)
Yeah, knew I had to wire it up myself but just wondering if anybody has a description on how to...and yeah, test fitted the light and came to the conclusion I'm gonna have to take a chunk outa the wing :crying: oh dear! lol. I did it on my Golf so should be ok
I've just bought some facelift headlights for my 96' model A4 but when I've come to wire them in there's no direct connection and I was just wondering if anybody else has done this and how you solved the wiring problem? Anybody have a colourcoded wiring diagram perhaps or a step-by-step...
