    On my 2000 A6 the diagnostic port is under the dash (right under!) on the far right hand side by the bonnet release. Hope this helps.

    Thanks again for the advice. The only other place I have it advertised is a sign in the car window so it might be worth taking out the line in the ebay advert as I don't have time to relist it.

    GEARBOX NIGHTMARES!!

    This sort of thing happended to me about 2 years ago. Driving along and suddenly V. loud grinding noise, turned out ine of the diff gears had come loose and eaten through the gearbox casing. 2nd hand gearbox (58K on it) = £400. Fitting = £400. New clutch = £150.

    How far do you guys commute

    82 miles a day on single lane A-roads. I do a 4 days on 4 days off shift so it keeps the petrol down to 1 tank every 8ish days.

    ABSOLUTELY FRICKIN GREAT! -NOT!!
