What is that "Staining" all over the driver's interior door? is it a photographic artifact?? actually, the interior looks quite badly looked after.... there's that mark on the speakers and in other places too....

Hi, I've got a 53reg 2.0 TDi Sport (140ps) with standard sport wheels (and 288mm front brakes). Remapped to ~170hp or so. I've got to replace the front discs and pads, and reading around here it seems pretty much a no-brainer to try for the 312 mm upgrade. I've had a read around, but...

I prefer the 3 door version - cleaner lines, I think the rear doors on the sportback just don't look quite right... seems to spoil the lines and look awkward. If I had to get a 5 door car, I'd probably consider the BMW 1 series - looks better in the 5 door incarnation than the sportback does imo...

I'd hope that the dealers provided their own vaseline... or at least some sump oil from their last service... :asskicking:

Top two look like gunsmoke, bottom looks like tint. I like being able to see at night too much to go for gunsmoke :P plus.. it really looks obvious. When I get paid, I'm going to have a look at the tint...

hmm.. I've had a 2.0T FSI quattro and a 170 TDI quattro. The 2.0T was fun to drive but I really couldn't live with the fuel consumption... barely got 18mpg.. *cough* Thrash.... Might ask them next time if they have a TT or something.... 'thinking about upgrading' as an excuse... :o

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I guess it's storage related..... Whenever I get a courtesy car, it comes with this neat velcro strap thingy that goes around the oil bottle to stick it to the side of the boot.... Any ideas where to get this, and whether you can get it in different sizes...

Well, Thanks to the people who replied... I ordered a couple from Ebay for £50 total and just fitted them this morning! Much better than paying nearly £200! Must get an electric screwdriver sometime though... my fingers hurt from using a piddly little allen key torx thingy >_<
