I went with "Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light" - do youtube searches and you'll see the results, looks good to me!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What can I get away with?

To be honest, once it's clayed, you'll want to wipe the panels down with a water/ipa mix ( not beer :p ) and then apply the coating, usually it's a wipe on, buff off job and leave to cure for around 12 hours. Genuinely l think it should be ok, will let you know about mine once it's done, but...

What can I get away with?

I can't, I have bought some but not had my car back from the body shop so no experience of testing it. I had a good couple of days on YouTube, got some ideas from there and from Slims. I ended up learning that I wash my microfibres wrong too!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What can I get away with?

You can DIY if you've got a dry space to do it, while a pro job will cost 300+ it will last longer, however, for much less you can get most of the same performance from a consumer product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What can I get away with?

Hi there, Surely a ceramic coating, while it might be £50-80, if it lasts for 12-18 months or so, represents good value? Just my 2p :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cancelling a new car order?

Having done some digging of my own, if you sign in the dealership you get no cooling off period. It's basically a case of dealership discretion, but i'm knackered as far as having any leverage here. It's not the end of the world, I am still very interested, just concerned about the delays on...

    Cancelling a new car order?

Hey everyone, I'm having a couple of concerns around a new car order I placed last Saturday. I don't think anything has actually been done from the dealership yet, it's all gone eerily quiet. If I were to cancel the order, do I forfeit the £2k deposit I've put down?? - Nothing has happened yet...

Installed rnse today, but little problem

..ok, I sat and listened to the car on the way home. When you unlock it and get in, there is a very faint hiss which doesn't go away. You have to be stopped (and in a quiet area) before you notice it though, so it's not a problem as I see it. When you reach your destination, you stop, turn off...

    LED Sidelight wedge bulb

..yup, my experience of customer service from UltraLEDS is crap too, I sent some faulty bulbs back from my TT for refund, they gave me a credit note. Whenever I tried to use the credit note it didn't work, contact eventually just got ignored, won't use them again!

My S3 has gotta go,Most practical replacement???

..why is it that the idiots that buy these bread vans also appear to be the ones that are the WORST at parking? A woman on my street has TWO, I love to watch her parking them, am sure it makes her worse :D

    S3 Vs Golf R....am i missing something??

...yup, my thoughts exactly. I can't see them spending all that money developing it, to not use it throughout the range. If people are fine spending that money to buy it new, it's cool, give it three years and pick one up for £25k (I hope, though theoretically I'm saving up for an R8, just got...

Installed rnse today, but little problem

I stop noticing it, I'm not sure it ever actually turns off as I pretty much straight away start listening to music, or I just 'tune' it out in my head. I'll pay attention though next time I get in and see what happens!

My S3 has gotta go,Most practical replacement???

best thread ever, very pertinent to me at the moment! I just sold the TT (mk1) and bought and S3 to appease the wife (and my 3-year car itch), no pregnancy yet, but hopefully just over the horizon. My concession to her was that at least my new car would have ISOFix and a bigger boot! One...

Installed rnse today, but little problem

I have this in mine, just as you've described, as soon as I unlock and get in, I can hear a faint hiss from the speakers. Same when I switch off and get out. As far as I know, mine was RNS-E from factory, so all coding should be complete etc... I'd be shocked if you managed to make it go away...

    Car Polish what is best?????

...just a note on clay/lubricants, I have tried with just water (much cheaper than detailing sprays!) but found it not slippery enough to prevent the clay from sticking to the paint in places. The addition of a bit of baby oil worked a treat, though keep shaking the bottle to stop it separating.

    Front end re-spray?

Thanks for that, Panelcare are only down the road from me, prices look reasonable too. So, Stage1 map or re-spray front end first?? choices choices. I suppose I better pay off the honeymoon first of all eh? - you never know, my wife might be spying on my posts!
