Hi Guys,
I've got an A3 1.8T and have recently been throwing up some fault codes.
16486/P0102/000258 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) (G70): Signal too Low
17544/P1136/004406 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean
both probably because defective MAF??? thoughts? (car has done 93k miles). Easy...
Hi guys,
need some help!
2001 A3 1.8T Sport
Last week tried to start car in morning but no go as battery flat. Jump started to get going. This problem happened the next day too. Had the car professionally checked and battery and alternator are fine, but there is a 2amp drain on the...
to clarify from earlier.....is 22mpg sucky (A3 2001 1.8T Sport) for start stop traffic (Ave 20-30mph) to work or am i expecting too much?
Parkers says 35mpg (combined)....what is reasonable mpg for 1.8T?
cheers
So if disconnecting the MAF makes the car guzzle fuel (Jampublic), mine already doees that.....what difference would unplugging the maf do to my mpg?
if the maf is the problem, would my mpg improve when unplugging it or would i just get a smoother ride?
rock on!
are there any dangers of driving without the maf?
i'm guessing it's a 'drive as far as it takes you to notice any difference' kinda job is it and not overdo it?
just thinking whether it's worth me doing it on the way home tonight (20mins journey) but lots of stop start idleing?
i'd be...
will try unplugging the maf.....
to ask a stupid question...do i literally just unplug the electrical connector going into the maf and leave the maf secured in it's housing? Will that throw fault codes everywhere...if so how do i get everything back to normal when i plug it in again?
cheers
Guys,
Maybe it's me being a hypochondriac but my car seems to be getting thirstier by the day!!
Had my 2001 A3 1.8T Sport for around 3 months (always use shell v-power). Early days i remember mpg around town to be close to 30. Now i can barely get 22. Also within the first few minutes of...
less than £150...ideally less than £100. i appreciate that probably anything less than that will do ****** all...just curious if there are any cheap fixes!
cheers
morning all,
enjoying my new 18's on my car but would like to sharpen up the handling. loads of info on ARB's on here, but what's the difference between ARB's and strut brace? What single handling/suspension thing would make the biggest handling improvement?
rock on!
