I seem to be having a similiar problem wherby sometimes the needle takes ages to get to 90 whilst travelling, but if I sit in traffic it seems to get to 90?? I had the same problem tonight where it only got quarter across and stayed there for the 35 mile drive home. Is this easy to fix?

yep, i've had this too. fixed it by spraying some lube behind the pastic cover on the back of the seat. been fine since.

I read this with interest as this has never happened to my S3's AC, even when i floor the accelerator it stays on?? Maybe this was an issue with some models? Mine's an 03..

Your siren isen't broken, they are set to silent by default. There is a way of turning the sound back on again, but can't remember if it's a DIY thing or through your dealer (or VAG software, if you have it). I am sure that if you search the forum you'll come across something. Cheers N
