    Engine whistle

    hi i have a A6 1.8CVT 2001 (51) 76,000miles that has a whistle like wind blowing over a bottle at 1000rpm cold and 1500rpm hot and its there all the time and im stuck 4 ideas? as i say it sounds like wind over a bottle crossed with an owl! any ideas?:wtf:
