i bought a second hand tunit chip from ebay for about 120ish. put my A3 TDI quattro up to about 160 on the top setting. be careful though because they do like to eat up the clutch, i tend to keep mine on a middle setting so the clutch doesnt slip.
have similar problem with mine, thought it was the bushes. tried greasing them all the usual stuff. got a mate to take it to audi and he said that the bushes are fine but the stabiliser is shot. its out of sight under the engine undertray and to change it they need to drop the whole front...
had a similar prob with my tdi Q, just have it a big clean and then got to the windows. Used some normal household spray and some kitchen roll, then pulled pack the rubber strip on the outer side and cleaned that. There was shed loads of dirt on it and the windows appear to had stopped...
i had the cambelt and pump changed at 59k, so just in time. It had FASH upto the end of the warranty then specialist on the last one so theres not much point me going back to audi now, plus they are just too expensive. I'm just looking for an honest garage in my area?
Seareched through the site but didn't manage to find anything. Does anyone know any honest places to get my A3 TDI Quattro serviced in the Berkshire area as my local stealership wants a fortune for a 10K service.
i have just taken mine out cos it broke. anyone have any ideas how to get into the thing to fix it? absolute pain to get out, might not bother putting it back in.
i have just had to take mine out because for some reason it got jammed once it was up and wouldnt come down. they are an **** to remove and fit looks better without it just need the piece of plastic that covers where it used to be.
