Thanks for that bit of info. But how do I tell which one? Is this a case for VAG COM? Or a main dealer???? Or can I use a mark one eye ball to determine the fault? Also why only in third gear? When I change up all is okay again.

I have my traction control light come on at a steady speed at 5000rpm in third gear! It then holds my revs and won't let me go any faster. Help! What should I do. Is this putting my brakes on at speed?

Hi, Stupid question but... I have only had my S4 a month and I can hear the fuel pump quite clearly when the car is ticking over, both inside and out. I don't remember it doing this but I can't be sure. Is this normal? Cheers

Hey thanks for that. Just got it back. Went for the full 80K service.... Sp plugs, oil, filters etc. Plus belt and tensioners And belt damper. And water pump to be on the safe side. Well in for a penny.. Oh and rear discs + pads And front pads And a few bulbs Cost a lot but all work done really...

So far it is using about .5l for 2000 miles. I have a full history of services by AMD and QST, divertor valves changed 10,000 ago and and I spoke to both garages who reckoned car okay. It has 73000 on it and I have the cam belt service booked for next week... Thanks for your help
