Thanks Fragup. I have switched to Auto yesterday and managed a big 31MPG.... it is 1 MPG better. Cough. I wonder how long (or how many miles) it takes to bed in....
Does anyone know?
I just got a A3 1.4 TFSI CoD and have run near 800 miles.
I needed to top up the oil at 700 miles and cannot get anywhere near the quoted MPG. I average 29MPG and I am on efficiency mode.
I am not sure what this is due to? Is the enging bedding in or my engine is just a big fault?!
Just to re-open this thread: I have an A3 1.4 TFSI CoD and it has run so far 800 miles.
My average MPG is around 30MPG and I already had to top up the oil.
Is the MPG so low because it is bedding in? I am on Efficiency mode.
Thanks for your support !
Got mine done yesterday and it was in effect the o-ring around the EGR valve which was dislocated, not enabling to shut completely.
After few rounds of the block, I waited until the engine temp gets warm and blasted until 4500 rpm. LOADS of black smoke then but so much more responsive and less...
Hey TeKnodriver, What is your engine?
I have a 2.0 TDI and the EGR system is on the way and when I unbolted the egr tube to the turbo, the screws are too long and I do not have enough of a gap to let the tube into the turbo.
Has anyone done it on a 2.0tdi B7? (BLB Engine)
thanks guys, it is soooo frustrating. I know I am very close !!!! maybe I should try from below instead of from the engine bay.
If I try to undo the EGR exhaust tube to the turbo (2 bolts), the screw are too long and I cannot get enough gap to put the tube in.
If I try to undo the exhaust pipe...
Ok, my first attempt resulted in a failure.
Here is what I did:
1- got the airhose off
2- undid the air filter box and removed the cover to have access to the EGR exhaust side connected to the turbo's hot side.
3- removed the 2 bolts but the tube didn't move out of the way to have a clear...
Hi Oiled Up,
From what I understand, you have to squirt Mr. Muscle in the exhaust side of the turbo.
a. Locate the turbo
b. find the exhaust side. Usually it is the brown'ish side not the silver side. The silver side is the intake and it is made out of aluminium so do not squirt Mr. Muscle...
Guys,
It sounds like honey to my ears. I have a B7 2.) Tdi and I get limp, flat spot between 1600 rpm and 2000 rpm.
I am an absolute noob so I would really appreciate any tutorial on this. I have no idea where to look!
Could somebody help me?
Thanks !
Hi Guys,
I have had the same issues for ages on my 2.0Tdi and after several attempts at the garage, they have not come up with any solutions. I would like to do it myself but again, I am a total noob. pics and tuts are more than welcome. I thinking the EGR valve is dirty and throttle as well...
