    BMW M5 (original E34)

I remember driving my Dad's 'Nurburgring' suspension M5 and thinking I'd discovered something to rival sex as a passtime. I still think the old square rigger E28 is cooler as is the cheaper M535i.

    MKV Golf GTi

There's nothing like informed comment and that's nothing like it.:asskicking: The R32 is an inferior drive to the GTi (having test driven both) and I agree you'd have to be mental to pay anything like the prices VW ask for specced up MKVs. Likewise the same has to be said about A3's even the...

    OBD port

Any other info? Is there some kind of cover I need to remove to get at it? I presume by steering rack you mean under the shroud that covers the steering column?

    OBD port

A search has revealed nothing so can anyone tell me where the OBD port resides on a 3 door 2004 3.2 quattro? It would be great to know this evening as I'm going to look at one tommorrow and want to run my VAG-COM on it.

    EVO'S

Never seen any Evo's sat in the public car park of the ring in that state, plenty of Imprezas but never any Mitsubishis. Take your point about what's cool though, I guess I do prize engineering above all else.

    EVO'S

Hadn't realised there was an original thread about these cars- will look harder next time. Some people here contend that they aren't true drivers cars and that 'any muppet can drive them fast'. There's certainly a grain of truth in that but to get most out of one requires a driver with above...

    Mitsubishi EVO

A 911 which is why I've got one. The point about the EVO is that anyone who really appreciates performance cars can't vote anything but cool. Despite them being embarrassing to be seen in. On the other hand if you prefer comfy seats and metrosexual/discreet looks buy a TT!

    Mitsubishi EVO

Take a tacky japanese saloon, add a 2ltr engine, turbocharge the knackers off it and mix in some trick diffs. Result a car that will out perform most things on it's way to yet another service in 4500 miles. This car is the anti-Audi (at least anti modern day Audi) but I contend that anything...

    Lotus Carlton?

Lotus Carlton, apart from that any car that annoyed the anti-speed mob is cool.

    Vauxhall Vectra V6

Had Vectra's as company cars for years when I was a lowly mobile server engineer. They were crap although I'll say this for them, you can hit quite severe speed bumps at 35-40mph without damaging them. They also make fantastic cars for doing J-turns etc in as well. The later 2.6V6 I had as my...

    Going back to single DIN?

Single DIN aftermarket although I'm now reconsidering the whole idea. I wouldn't have thought a pocket and fascia adaptor would look all that bad but you can never tell till you get it in there. The one thing I wouldn't want to do is convert it to OEM single DIN spec.

    Going back to single DIN?

anyone???? could do with a few ideas on this before I give up the idea of A3 ownership.....:keule:

    Audi RS2- dog basket or dog's ********?

Based on an Audi 80, estate form only (you can call it Avant if you prefer but a rose by any other name...............)horribly dated interior but 'cool as fork' in my opinion.

    Going back to single DIN?

quote from another thread Is all this really necessary to go from double to single DIN? On other cars I've had it was possible to put a 'pocket' in and just slot the single DIN stereo in above it. Obviously it won't have the OEM look but when I come to sell the car on in the future I'd just...
