If he means the miles remaining for the level of fuel then the lower end of the scale can adjust quickly , probably more so if you are hammering a v6.
it could however be a problem fuel tank sender if the miles remaining and dash needle are moving at levels similar to each other.
The debate on schedules has been ongoing in the TT forum as well with the history 5 years or 60k miles is the max recommended.....
This month alone 2-3 TT owners cars have had failures in 60-70k range.
If the car has Audi history and 80k or 115k mentioned in the service book then a call to...
Was the Water Pump damaged at all?
if the old one was cracked then the lesser flow can be counteracted by a weak thermostat and appear to be normal.
After a fresh pump is installed that works properly it can then highlight the thermostat behavior is weak.
We usually recommend a thermostat...
Careful use of a dremmel cutting disc or if you have some large side cutters cut through the crimp on the clip and when its split the hose clip can be pulled apart.
no flow rate tests.... simple living in the real world experience.
1. Understanding my car and know its behaviour
2. Seeing the change after work done, admittedly forcing the issue for a change back to an oem product.
3. Getting my old car behaviour back
How do we know the new oem metal ones...
I would say the 98 is a little bit high considering the proximity to 100 which is usually the threshold when the temps will rise on the dash board.
I'd expect that you see the temps rise far more often that you used to specially when at the end of a journey and parking or taking a bit of time...
Assuming the S3 expansion bottle is the same or similar to a TT ( and an old mk2 Golf, and old problem vee-dub owners wil know)
the sensor consists of two metal prongs the dip into the water and get a coating over time causing this error.
cold is low and when warm the coolant expands to...
Can you tell us if the water pump was an oem pump or aftermarket.
if the thermostat is good it could be
1. failing pump or aftermarket metal pump
2. It could be a temp sender misbehaving
3. It could be youre unlucky and the thermostat is faulty, it not unheard of.
We'd try to verify the...
1.8T's usually have NGK PFR6Q plugs as standard, 7 on NGK would be 1 heat range colder. Bosch go down in numbers to get colder plugs, but I dont know what the Bosch plug would be to be equivalent to NGK
We stick to NGK where possible.
Get a Fault scan done, it may have a faulty clutch switch or perhaps a failed Diverter valve both of these problems may not show in a fault scan, but the clutch switch can be tested diagnostically and the DV can be tested mechanically.
Throttle bodies have been known to cause this symptom as...
We had a customer who's 180 had 228 on its emissions!! same as a 225... I think he's getting shafted as I cant see how that can be correct, I suspect a typing error when it was created but he needs to approach Audi and get confirmation from them before he can get the DVLA to amend the information.
The whole rear end is a problem when lowering and with the right mods can be sorted so that the rear Camber and Toe can have plenty of adjustment, If you are anywhere near silverstone I have a real professional who can set the geometry perfectly so long as you have Tie bars. If you supply the...
Cheeky ****** lol
1. The Mod was named by the Forum members....
2. Holes were cut in specific places to perfect the Audio Nirvana that it makes not as you put it go all Driller Killer on the box! :blow:
3. It may be old but but the name is patented, you can call your design Swiss Cheese box...
