Aye the Audi boxes are not the smoothest.
No harm in changing the oil. infact it probably either should have had a change or is due a change at that milage I would have thought. Either way change it out.
Check out the exploded veiw on VAGCOM's web site.
I have one my RS4. There is no mental showing.
This is the first time I have had a centre arm rest. I love it. Like Mikebabs, initially I found it awkward especially when you wanted to operate the handbrake but now I wouldn't be without it.

It took Jim a very long time to get this for me for some strange reason and APR wanted $50 to ship if I went to them direct!! Although I'm sure I could have sorted something else. It was there standard option on thier website.

if AMD said that i would not take my car to them as it sounds like ballicks. How can it damage the maf?
and 500 bhp out of a rs4 is not that big a deal its just a chip, probably has standard exhaust aswell but that doesnt mean thats the way it should be done, some people...
Yes it is identical to that. I think it looks good and is even better looking in the flesh. It is a solid mounting pod and quality looking gauge.
Basically what I paid for it. I think it was £120. It could even have been more?
RSW is correct. It's a VERY common prob. If you are lucky, warranty. Other wise approach customer services once you get a quote from a stealership to replace. Complain abou the fact that this is clearly a design fault and the price for the replacement is outrageous given the unaccetable level...
Well for anyone else reading the above, having owned one of the very first UK S4s a 1997 model. I suffered none of the above. But the writer is correct. However, there is some debate about the modified oil lines to the turbo as there is no mention of this in ETKA according to one poster on...
You could check with your dealer's parts dept. to confirm if your car via the chassis number has the lowered suspension fitted. If it does, then hopefully all you have to buy is the standard springs. However, you will need to check that the shock aren't different too. As the the shock will need...
Try here, http://www.s4-mtm.com/library.htm
Go right to the bottom there is a S4 buyers guide.
Drive a couple to get a feel for the power delivery. The bi-turbo has a lot pipes, hoses etc. that can rupture/leak cause the car to produce less power. It would help if you completed your location...
I have the complete APR kit not never out of the box. I bought it for my S4 I'm in two minds on whether to fit it into my RS. I'm thinking of fitting one in the cup holder especially if it has a memory or alarm function.
I'd sell the complete kit only.
RSW - I'm only repeating what has been reported for quite some time.
Besides it's easy to make a more powerful master cyclinder to operate a heavy clutch it were only about peddal pressure required.
But hey you know rumours are just rumours.
Youngdriver,
Where are you posting from? It helps us give you the right advice when we know your details, car location etc.
First off. I don't understand why you want to upgrade the clutch and the brakes. Are you having trouble with either at the mo?
There is little point in fitting the S4...
Hi Mark,
I'd agree with everything David said.
I paid £400 + £70 VAT for my shocks n springs from Kim Collins @ QST. Not happy about the VAT I thought that was cheeky of Kim - never mind you could consider it expensive P&P as he didn't charge me for that!
My reason for fitting the RS4...
I personally didn't tell my insurance company about my last chipped S4.
I have mixed feelings on the subject. To be honest if I was to chip my RS4 well .. I'd probably not tell them, although dare I say the decision would be based almost entirely on how much of an uplift on my premium they...
I thought about your post when at the weekend I finally got around to polishing the girlfriend's car with nothing special, Mer polish. I was getting a bit lazy by the time I got to the bonnet and started to poor the polish onto the bonnet and rubbed it about a little, not as much or as even as...
