Just bought a 03 A6 2.5 tdi Avant Triptronic and have to say its great! Not the most frugal car but has some punch which saves it from me heavy right foot. Somebody has spent a small fortune on AV extras with a really nice Kenwood Double Din DVD/NAV/iPod head unit, Bose setup and a roof screen...

Well it looks like I've melted a piston on the A4, all my own fault as the red oil light came on but as I wasn't getting any tappet noise I figured the pressure was good, WRONG! Oh well leason learned. I love the car so I really want to fix it instead of settling for something else cheap...

I have to say the Vauxhall Vectra once they sorted the rear end out, but then I have to as I own the road car spawned from the BTCC racer lol :D Yeah yeah, and the A4 Quattro kicked it's butt :D lol Peugeout 405 was the best looking, and the worst performing :D

Guys - where does this connector go?... This cables is attached to the outside of the fan frame and is currently hanging down behind the front bumper. Any idea where it goes and what it is for? Thanks for help in advance!

Just looked at my earlier message, seems my ability to speak the english language left me for a few minutes there. Just to confirm AndyMac - if I have the blower set at maximum it will come on at full tilt then stop for 3-4 seconds then come on again for another 3-4 etc etc. The fan display...

Probably just a quick one guys... I've recently bought a 98 1.8T Sport (great car!). The Air Con / blower is coming on for 3-4 seconds and then going off again for the same amount of time, regardless of if I have it on climate set temp, LO, HIGH, AC on or AC off. Does anyone have any ideas why...

2.2 Vectras with the same engine keep up with highly modified V6 2.5 ones up to the ton, I should know I ditched a 2.5 GSi in favour of a Turbo converted one in a bid to see them off (successfully!)
