Did all A3's come with a external temperature display in the dash as mine doesn't seem to work. It's a '97 without the LCD display between the speedo and tacho, just black squares that light up accordingly. Cheers.

Stepper motor? or could be any of the above. Sounds like the stepper motor, as your revs are dying then picking up and the car is stuttering. Clean it or have it replaced. Should sort out the problem.

The stepper motor was always playing up with my old car. Do you a bit of lag wen you press the throttle from idle or do the revs die then pick up? Find the stepper motor (near the inlet, got a breather pipe going to it usually) and spray some WD40 into the ******, it usually just gets stuck and...

How do you get to it? One of the bulbs/LED's is fused. Can't work out how to pull the plastic fascia off the bootlid without breaking it. Cheers.

Ive used H&R 50mm springs, and I have to say the ride is hard but thats probably down to the 18" alloys and OEM shocks. Once I get the Billies on should go like its on rails Excellent springs though.

Have you considered a Resonant Engineering RE8 (175W RMS DVC)? These subs are amazing www.reaudio.com. Recommended enclosures: SQ 0.217cuft sealed, SQL 0.5cuft ported 33Hz tuning.

FAO:Speedo The sub is a Diamond Audio M3151.4 300W RMS. Drops lowwww but still pretty punchy for a 15". I tried a JL 12w3v2 for a while....didnt drop enough, so went for the 15". Depends really on what type of music you like. If your into Dancehall/Reggae/Dub like me then its gotta be a 15".

As above. The sub is working fine but the rear speakers are dead. The previous owner did mention disconnecting something from the sub cubby hole....any ideas? Fitting a Alpine CDA-9812RR this weekend, will this sort out my problem if I use the autoleads Audi speaker adapter. Thanks.
