I am basically a manual shift guy, but was unable to find an A6 with manual. So I bought one with tiptronic (used).
I understand it learns your shift characteristics and adjusts to the way you drive.
The transmission shifts unlike any automatic I ever had.
I like to keep it in high for fuel...
On the subject of wheels...
I have too considered replacing the stock A6 wheels with something a bit dressier, but some cars have problems with aftermarket wheels (calipers stick out too much, no venting,whatever) .
Has anyone had any problems with replacing A6 wheels?
Any pointers or gotchas?

I bought a used A6, and living in the mountains I need fog lights occasionally.
The units on my A6 are basically useless for 2 reasons;
1) I can't run them without the headlights on.
2) They do not project a broad, flat powerful beam..they're wimpy.
Has anyone had any experience with aftermarket...
