In most model year 2008 and newer Audis (but not VW, Seat or Skoda) there are three different counters running, any of which can make the Service reminder come on. One is for a standard service, the second is for a mileage-based inspection, and the third is for a time-based inspection. If...
If it's genuine, by all means contact us: Support[at]Ross-Tech.com
Please include your full name and the serial number from the product label on the interface, like this:

If you're a registered user, please send a complete Auto-Scan to Support@Ross-Tech.com so we can see exactly what control modules are installed in the car and what is and isn't documented for them. Please include a link to this thread and tell us exactly what you're trying to do in terms of...
Does the car have an interior monitoring system? If so, it should respond at address 45 and chances are you've got a dodgy connection between it and the central locking system. If it doesn't have one, chances are something is incorrectly coded.

Yes, we absolutely want people to post (or send us) scans and issues (i.e. problems or questions). Public forums are great because questions (and answers when available) are visible to others as well, which is why we try to support the such forums. In the long run, users helping each other...
Again, we have no influence over how a control module responds to the various bits that you can change with our software. Nor do we have every car, control module, and firmware variant to test the what happens when you change a particular bit, something which can be further complicated by how...
It doesn't do anything within VC. VC simply gives you the ability to turn that bit on or off in that control module, and the control module will behave differently depending on whether the bit is on or off.
The fact that VC version 904 now has that bit labeled "Coming Home Logic (0=Old /...
I really don't know what the difference is between the Old and the New Coming Logic. There shouldn't be any harm in turning on that bit to see what it does. You can always turn it off again.
Keep in mind: We make a tool that allows you to twiddle bits that correspond to a bunch of options...
Not being funny either, but it would appear that whatever you sent Sebastian wasn't sufficient to be able to figure this out, and I don't want to play whisper down the lane with old data. Since it seems this is bothering you enough to rant at some of my other guys via PM, it seems to me that...
The reason it isn't fixed is because none of us has been able to reproduce the problem, and it isn't for lack of trying either -- I personally own an A3 2.0T that we've tried to make this happen on.
Those of you who experience this problem, please e-mail me directly: Uwe[at]Ross-Tech.com...
Very likely true. Which is why we state the following on the Terms & Conditions page (where you have to click the "I agree" button):

You realize that the throttle pedal does not communicate with the throttle body, right?
The ECU reads the position of the throttle pedal. It interprets this as a request for torque. Then the ECU commands the throttle to open however much it thinks is needed to produce the amount of torque...
Recode the instrument cluster. A current version of VAG-COM will pop up a coding chart that tells you how when you do the following: [Select] -> [17-Instruments] -> [Coding].

As a general rule, you can reproduce such a function test with VC if you know what the VAS is actually doing during such a test. The whole "Guided Functions" thing is nothing but a bunch of scripts that use the same functions you'd find in Self-Diagnosis or VC. Unfortunately, figuring out...
The "Mechatronic" is the Transmission Controller Electronics, as well as a number of sensors and actuators all in one unit. I believe it can be replaced without removing the transmission from the car, but replacing it likely to be costly.
-Uwe-
We've been digging for that, but unfortunately haven't found anything. We suspect this stuff is all integrated inside the Mechatronic unit (J734).

What year A4? What engine? What type of VC lead? What version of VC? I see you were able to connect with the ABS, but what about all the other systems in the car?
