buy 2nd hand and it aint no longer a no brainer.
I love how too many people have bad things to say about tuning boxs but never have had any experience of the genuine companys that sell good quality digital boxes.
Remaps and tuning boxes have both caused problems on all cars. You get crap...
I bought a 2nd hand DTUK unit from flea bay last week for my S Line TDI Avant. I got it for £150.
I just thought that if i thought it was crap i could sell it on but, I wont be. I love it.
It has a choice of 4 maps and about 8 power settings for each map. I have mine on map 4 at 10% and it...
I think he means the loudness setting lol.
I was reading a bit in my manual a while back that you can have the system come on at a certain loudness everytime you switch the ignition on.
You can adjust this but I cant find my manual just now. Maybe someone else can help.
Thanks for the replys on this.
Finally got it sorted.
Booked my car into CLCM at sighthill Edinburgh.
Turns out that fronts were swapped to back however, all four corners were needing adjusted but that's me driving straight now.
Just in case your interested it cost me £49.50 for a full...
You should read the sticky regarding the balance shaft failure.
I think it affected quite a lot of 2005 models. I was in the same position as you and did some research. I bought a 56 reg.
My car has the Engine code BRE which I know are ok after loads of reading. You should search the "Balance...
Thanks for the advice re tyres. For me its a problem getting them fitted. Most places refuse point blank if i want to supply tyres or they charge rediculas amounts for fitting.

Hi folks,
I just got my A4 this month and loving it however, when i went to pick it up the brakes were guffed so i replaced all four corners myself this morning.

Im a carpet fitter and I managed to source a LUX clutch kit for 83 pounds delivered. It cant be that much of a perk working in parts if can only get one just under 100 pounds lol
:p
Probably not much help but you could buy a set then sell the spare one and get most of your money back or for the just in case, keep it in case it happens again lol not that anyone would plan on doing that again lol.
Plenty of bargains to be had on the good old ebay. Try German-ebay.
Hope...
Its just the flappy thing that lifts out. Inside the cavity of the rear wing you will find all sorts of wires etc but what you are looking for is inside a greay foam sponge thing. Its about a third of the size orf a shoe box. Thats the central locking pump which will be making that whirring...

Anyway, good luck with getting it sorted. I guess if you not able to attempt it yourself its just a case of phoning round.
Think I have too much time on my hands thats why I opt to do these things myself
:respekt:
Its in the boot. Inside the left side rear wing so you need to take the cover off.
The unit is inside a foam casing. Can be a bit trick to actually get out so be patient with it. If a hose has come off you can just slip it back on and hey presto. If not then Im afraid they are almost...
