I had a REVO Remap...then had it removed and refunded after a few days of 'I'm not happy with this'. The power increase and delivery was very poor and it sounded 'not right!'. Check my posts for full details. It was not as expected.
I then went to MRC and Doug remapped my S4 and the difference...
Thanks for your reply. I did look on autotrader and based my asking price on it's condition, 1 previous owner, FSH, and 69k milage. Plus the £ i'd spent on the exhaust, MRC + tracker. It really is in top tight cherished condition. Where are the best places to advertise it? Cheers for your...
It's got to go to make way for a 1000cc Peugeot 107! £35 tax a year, 60mpg! Am I asking too much for it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220249183836
Nice replies welcome...don't shoot me down if I'm way off target. I love this car and would rather not sell it so I'm not...
Hi guys, finally had my MRC Custom remap done last weekend after my REVO disappointment. Chuffed to bits. Doug's a great chappie who clearly knows exactly what he's doing. He had to replace a faulty Lambda sensor and the two diverter valves. The best £723 i've spent in a long time as it's...
Hey guys Just happened upon the thread. Am I too late? I'd love to attend and it would've been great to have had a remap on the morning following my REVO disaster! What's the chances of that!!? Gutted I didn't notice thread before. Next time maybe.
Took the car in yesterday and waited while they did it. It took them 1 hour, they removed the ECU, as apparently the '98 S4 isn't fly-by-wire, took it upstairs and 20 minutes later refitted it. Tinkered with the VAG-COM to make sure all was well and that was it. Refunded me £633. I'm going...
Mine is the same. Horrible creaking from n/s front. Garage has so far spent 3-4 hours! at £35 + VAT per hour! trying to identify the source of the creak. copper greased everything including the roll bar mountings. Still no fix & Still driving me mad. It makes my once 40k car sound like a...
icenutter- Tried AutoGlym Extra gloss Protection over the weekend as you recommended....great stuff. The paintwork is now gleaming and should hopefully resist scratches better, a real deep shine. Many thanks for that.
REVO update:- REVO reluctantly agreed to refund the money as I wasn't happy...
By the way this Santorin blue pearl paintwork is a nightmare. You only have to look at it and it scratches. It's covered in them and there seems to be a new one every day! Wish I'd have purchased a silver one but the blue did look great. Have a look at my gallery photo.
Thanks very much guys some good advice there. I've asked for my money back on the REVO and am waiting for an answer as I'm a few days over the 30 days but the issue did arise shortly after fitting it. I'm just not happy with it. I'll keep you posted. I've now got a SPS3 device to sell !!
Sorry, I meant 10% for the whole Milltek setup not just the cats. Would that be right? Milltek say gains of around 10%. Surely 50bhp + 70lbft for the REVO plus the extra from exhaust setup should be really noticeable.

maybe I'm expecting too much?! maybe.
I've seen on ebay! folks selling USB cables that will enable be to connect my laptop to the serial port after downloading the vagcom software. Will that tell me anything or am I wasting my money. I'm sure there are no faults as that's what they said but...
Any comments welcome.
I've just had a REVO remap on my 1998 S4 AVANT. Here's exactly what I've had done and my problem:-
REVO remap.
Miltek FULL stainless system including downpipes and 200 cpsi cats.
Also purchased the REVO SPS3 Serial Port Switch.
All done by Aldon Automotive. (they've...
