Having the emissions light on all the time can only mean something has failed. Take it to a garage and get the code read. Where abouts are you? Someone on here might be able to give you a hand.
I followed the advice on here, called Audi Uk. They called my local dealer who arranged a day to have the car. Did the inspection for free, found they had the faulty injectors so replaced everything. Dealer and Audi UK then called me to say everything was sorted. Perfect service, couldn't ask...
Just called audi, they seemed to know all about this injector issue. First person I spoke to just took my details and is going to get it booked into my local dealer. Very swift for me, only down to you guys battling to get justice though! Thanks for all your help!
Just been trying to start my A3. Its a 170tdi on an 07 plate. It turns over but will not start, doesn't even splutter as if its trying to? I wasn't driving it, it started earlier with no issue but now it won't run?
Anyone think it might be this injector issue? Shame audi couldn't tell me...
I think I may have the same issue, mine is a 07 plate 170. It started fine earlier today but now nothing. Turns over fine but won't fire. Glow plug light comes up as normal but just won't fire? Injector issue?
Would imagine their is a thermostat on the rad which switches the fan on. More than likely that has failed (tends to be on other manufactures, but i'm new to Audis though)
I've just fitted one to my A3. Had all metal screws. Hour later job done. If you want a complete optics grill give pjmspeedy a PM, he'll sort you out :)
If you take it in august you'll be getting an 09 plate, take it in November and it will be a 59 plate. Tbh I wouldn't buy a car unless they have let me had a test drive of a car with the same engine and spec. I wouldn't be too bothered about the interior on the standard model as its just cloth...
Thanks audi is quality, bit of an upgrade.
They've been fitted in everything, such an easy convertion. I'd imagine there are more novas, corsas and astras with C20LET's than the orginal cavalier and calibra turbos.
Yeah the two cars are completly different. I bought the audi as it has class, well built and economical. The astra is just so much fun, could never give it up. I get the best of both worlds.
