    Facelift UK RS3 Saloon/SB (400ps) Order Thread...

PPF on the front of the car is about £1200 + VAT. Ceramic coat with wheels and interior protection is about £800 + VAT. There is a cost calculator here: http://www.reepnw.co.uk/ceramic-coating/ . It's not cheap but I plan to keep the car for a long time and should be easier to keep it shiny...

Finally picked mine up yesterday afternoon. Had a couple of hours driving before dropping it off for ceramic and PPF. Get it back on Friday.

My original build week was 7th August but the build started on the 3rd, left the factory on the 11th. The tracking then just showed it being ready for shipping until it arrived at the dealer on the 25th. I was originally told to expect it around mid-September.

Mine appeared to be sitting in Germany for a week then suddenly status to "arrived" at the dealership within a couple of days. Now I need to wait for the 1st September to register it. Got it booked in for PPF and ceramic coating after collection so will have to wait a few more days before I can...

    Facelift Rs3 sportback Delivery date

Just checked my order status for the first time in a few days, build was due to start next week but it's already in the paint shop! Sounds like the factory is running ahead of schedule. Any idea how long it takes from the paint shop stage?

Exactly the same with mine. I tried to add red calipers last week and dealer said it was locked. My build week is 7th August. Interested to know if you mange to add them without pushing the build week back.

    Facelift Rs3 sportback Delivery date

I found a way to check the full spec of the order by logging into yourAudi, go to this URL https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/12345678 and change the last 8 digits to your order number. You can then either do a text search within that code for "magnetic" or copy and...

    Facelift Rs3 sportback Delivery date

Ordered mine 7th July and it appeared on YourAudi today with an expected build date of 7th August. I also noticed mag ride missing from youraudi as well. I dug around in the page source code and mag ride is there on my order but the front end isn't displaying it.

Thanks for the info. Got hold of the sales manager at the dealership and now got my order number. Even better than expected, he's swapped it with a stock car they already had on order so should be one of the first builds with delivery in September! :yahoo:

I hope not. They told me they had allocation with delivery looking to be around mid-Oct before I put down the deposit. I'm just waiting for an order number so I know for sure.

Can't believe I've not posted on here since 2012 when I had my S3! Had a TTRS in the meantime (soon up for sale) but ordered a new RS3 last weekend. Managed to get a small discount by trying a couple of local dealers. How long did people wait for an order confirmation?

Kerbed wheel - any recommendations for repair?

No, just learned to live with it in the end :)

AVS Servicing - Post your quotes and dealers here.

I think AVS would just indicate that they used long life oil. Also had my first service on my S3 today - £140 for a long life oil change from Crewe. They quoted me £165ish to start with but were willing to negotiate. I also rang Cheshire Oaks Audi who didn't seem to have a clue what they...

First 'variable' service at exactly 12 months?

I agree but think Audi should update their sales and technical material to state that 6k - 20k is acceptable range for a long life service rather than saying 'approx 19k'. Would be handy if the dealerships knew what was going on as well! :banghead:

First 'variable' service at exactly 12 months?

Rang Audi customer services today who told me my car is on the new type of variable service introduced in 2008. Apparently this means the car can require an oil change as early as 6k! Why the dealership doesn't know this I'm not sure but I can't find any mention of it in the sales brochure...

First 'variable' service at exactly 12 months?

Pretty much what I thought! I'd be interested to know if this is a common dealer trick to increase servicing frequency as I can't imagine it's easy to do by mistake.

First 'variable' service at exactly 12 months?

My 2010 S3 is displaying a service notice for dead on 12 months to the day that I picked it up even though its only done 7k miles. Called the dealership who insisted it on on AVS and this will be down to my driving style but I reckon they've switched it to fixed servicing during the PDI. Can...

    Service interval mistake

My S3 is coming up to a year old and has started requesting an oil change at exactly 12 months old even though it has done under 7k, the DIS shows another service due exactly 12 months in the future. I rang the dealership I bought it from and they tell me this is probably due to driving style...

Had the New S3 about 2 weeks now - Thoughts so far

Nice one Lee, glad to hear it was worth the wait, look forward to seeing some pics! Fuel consumption wise - mine seems to have loosened up now but was averaging below 20mpg for the first 2 or 3 tanks. Did you manage much driving in the few hours it was standard as a comparison?

Kerbed wheel - any recommendations for repair?

Squeezing into a gap and one moment of misjudgement has just resulted in me kerbing an alloy badly :banghead: I only touched it at low speed but was unlucky and scraped across the face of one of the flat shiny rotor bits (its a new black ed wheel) which has resulted in a very visible mark - car...
