not a daft question at all ,as I didnt do as you suggested ! So I get it right open door manualy,put key in ignition .turn ignition on,but dont start engine,wait a couple of seconds,turn ignition off remove key ,get out of car and try fob ? cheers

My second remote key,which I never used until recently doesnt open doors .On 2003 A4 . I changed battery but still doesnt work ......any suggestions ? thanks

If you and wires dont go ,then get somebody to do it for you.......failing that do the easy thing and just cut the original plug off and put the yellow round 3 pin on.......I wonder now why I didnt do it ,am I really going to send the PC back to the States if it goes wrong ? I dont think so some...

Why dont you have ago at the method shown on detailing world.....Im totally cack handed and I managed to do it,it saves you cutting of the plug and as you say voiding the warrranty.You wont be able to plug the standard 3 pin into the transformer ,as the connection is a round pin connection...

Any idea who has some in stock ?

Ive got an Avant and there was water in the spare wheel well,what a Fxxxxg stink ! No idea how it got there and since Ive washed it out seems to be OK,altho the smell still lingers on

I bought my transformer 2 nd hand from a guy on Detailing world,its worth checking out your local hire store as they often clear out equipment. Youll also need an extension cable and to re wire the plug,all the info you need is on Detailing world
