    The water pump on my V6 2.5 TDi has just failed. This has resulted in a £700 bill to change it and the cambelt/pulleys/tensioners. The water pump was changed with the last cambelt change, but has somehow failed. Is there an indestructible water which could be fitted?

    Cheers Banny, I looked at the Upsolute site and they do indeed suggest a +30bhp increase for the B5 A4. AMD said that there are 2 versions of the B5 A4, a old one and a facelift version. It is apparently the facelift version which has the uprated diesel pump. I shall try to check this both...

    I'd heard that it was not such a common remap... I'd prefer a remap than a new ecu, although I suppose I could keep the old one if I wanted to sell the car clean. Still, it doesn't sound like the feeling is that the engine will explode the next day (right Banny!).

    Best type of MAF and UK suppliers?

    Cheers for the recommendations. I eventually got one from GSF though. It was a Bosch unit, cost £70 and has made a huge difference to my power hole problem and lack of low down torque. The car now pulls from 30 to God-only-knows-how-fast in 5th. Also fitted a K&N filter finally :)

    The sound of the 2.5 TDi v6 is about the most amazing sound I have ever heard. I'm a die-hard cyclist, and even I can't stay out of my A4 2.5 TDi v6 Avant and keep the windows down all year! The sound is simply incredible - it's like driving a cargo plane!

    How quick (0-60) is a 1.9 TDi A4 Avant 130 after chipping?

    Very good point - the V6 weighs a ton! You can really feel the weight going into corners - especially in the FWD version I have. Luckily I don't really take the corners too quick! I suppose the 1.9 130 quattro (chipped up of course) is the ultimate in economy/handling/performance.
